Libertine Dream Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 It's starnge to me that we seem to be focusing a lot of attention on the centre back area, yet we still haven't brought in a winger and it looks unlikely that we'll bring in more than one. At least 1 winger will come in, surely
Happy Fox Posted 29 January 2012 Author Posted 29 January 2012 Speaking of Bamford Chelsea have put a bid of £1m for him John__Percy John Percy Probably not the news #nffc fans were after - #Chelsea have made a 1m bid for Patrick Bamford. No guarantee Forest will sell though.. #CFC Forest are f**ked even more now great news
Leicester_Loyal Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 If Forest + Cov get relegated and we don't get promoted, I hope one of the Sheffield clubs get promoted so we can at least have another local game or two. The thought of only having Derby + Bham away as local games bores me!
Krimbinho Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 From Sky Sports: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11727/7465402/Morgan-in-Leicester-medical Morgan in Leicester medical Foxes finally agree £1million fee for defender Wes Morgan: Having a medical at Leicester after a fee was agreed with Nottingham Forest Sky Sports understands Wes Morgan is undergoing a medical at Leicester City after agreeing a £1million fee for the defender with Nottingham Forest. Leicester have been chasing Morgan for the last few weeks as they look to bolster their defensive options before the close of the transfer window. Forest have already rejected two bids for Morgan this month, but it appears Leicester's third offer of £1million has finally met Forest's asking price. Morgan is out of contract at the end of the season and Forest have now decided to cash-in on the player rather than risk losing him for nothing in the summer. The 27-year-old has now been granted permission to hold talks and undergo a medical at Leicester as they look to tie up the move before Tuesday's deadline.
Fox 4 Life Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Sky sports reporting 1m bid accepted, still don't get this at all. Defenders are not the priority
Babylon Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Sky sports reporting 1m bid accepted, still don't get this at all. Defenders are not the priority It is if you don't think what we have is good enough. It is if one of those defenders has pissed you off by throwing his toys out. It is if you know one or more could be off because of the above.
Proud_Fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Well with Tunchev always injured Nigel may feel he needs to bring someone in. Nigel is working on the wingers situation and im pretty sure he will bring at least 1 person in. I think this could be the end of the line for Tunchev, maybe a loan back to Palace
Callabinho Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I get it, Tunchev is crocked, Bamba is away on international duty...So we have two defenders. Naturally we need cover and if Wes forces his way into the team so be it.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I love how people say we don't need him weren't we all saying the same about SSL? "he's off" "good we don't need him" now he's an intergral part to our good form! who says Morgan won't do the same he's an absolute tank! Gives us a different dimension in defence good rotation options and for £1m probably the cheapest transaction in the winter transfer window. Pearson has a plan he's getting the right people to put that plan into action.
Proud_Fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I would of thought though a loan would of been more then enough just to cover Bamba as when he returns him, Mills and St. Ledger are more then enough cover and then if anything happens we had Tunchev or we could go into the loan market. That what makes me thing that Sol Bamba is going to play defensive mid with Mills and one of Morgan and St. Ledger at the back

That what makes me thing that Sol Bamba is going to play defensive mid with Mills and one of Morgan and St. Ledger at the back I also think Bamba will move into midfield, do we actually have a defensive midfielder? As for Tunchev, I think he wouldn't moan about beeing a back-up. He's been out for ages, still isn't 100% fit (maybe he will never be) and isn't the youngest anymore. Mills is a certain starter, as he is club captain. Morgan and SSL would rotate I think. Morgan against physical strong oponents and SSL against teams that don't do a high pressing, as he can actually pass the ball and doesn't hoof it.
Proud_Fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 With Yuki Abe and Gelson Fernandes going we dont have a defensive midfielder at the club and its always good to have as many option as possible We could play 3 at the back with Bamba playing as a defensive midfielder as an option I think the only way Tunchev can continue is if he plays like Ledley King. 2 or 3 games a month
Big Dave Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Apparently having medical at the moment..... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/7465402/Morgan-in-Leicester-medical
Christoph Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 What sort of player is Wes Morgan then? Pros, cons?
Saxondale Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 What sort of player is Wes Morgan then? Pros, cons? Pros: Strong Cons: Clumsy, slow, oafish
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16755706.stm Just for info
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Think he would be a good signing and someone in the style we need. believe he was in team of the year for Championship last year so by no means a bad player, just people seem to like giving him stick. Enough cover in defence now, maybe Tunch is set to leave though?
Proud_Fox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10308~2593187,00.html Nottingham Forest can confirm they have accepted a bid from Leicester City for central defender Wes Morgan , who is now set to discuss personal terms with The Foxes.
Simmo86 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Little scenario........we beat Norwich in the cup, which means our game in March against Forest gets rearranged for April. In said game against Forest In April, Morgan scores the goal which relegates them! Add runs over to Forest fans and gives them shit if you wish......

K Green 17 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 not interested at all unless we are finally going to replace the lacklustre Mills
Ric Flair Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 not interested at all unless we are finally going to replace the lacklustre Mills Agreed mate. 3 clean sheets on the spin, a goal and 2 assists for a centre half just isn't good enough. He should have found Madeleine McCann by now as well, he's a disgrace.
