Twitters Transfer Rumours

For me it depends who we are playing - if it's a physical team then he may as well not be on the pitch, but if we play a footballing team he seems to come into his own.

I for one don't hate him he takes ok free kicks, very good penno's and has a good right foot. But his work rate is very poor he's slow and never wins a tackle/header he's not good enough.

And that is fair comment. There are bound to be players you don't rate and would be happy to see them leave, it's more the unnecessarily vitriolic language used sometimes, just no need really. They are our players, playing for our club after all.

I'm not sure his work rate is that bad. He's slow and can't tackle or head, agreed, these things make it lok like he's not trying when in fact he's closing and chasing people down.

The main criticism of him is his inconsistency, because on his day he's very effective, he's the best crosser and shooter that we have. He's scored plenty of goals due to his willingness to shoot when others won't, and the frequency that he tests the keeper from outside of the box is very good. But when he's having a bad day he's absolutely useless and this is why he needs competition for his place at least.

No doubt he can be frustrating but it's fairly obvious that there is an extreme bias against him from a large number of fans. Take the Swindon game for example, he was getting moaned at for every mistake whilst those that others made (often worse ones) went generally unmentioned. And on here there is a lot of purposeful dodging of praise for him when he has a good game (Crystal Palace post-match thread for example)

As an aside, I also find it disappointing that we are 1-0 up and there are anti-Gallagher chants from young kids, with their parents not explaining to them that that's not how you should support your team.

Is saying a lightweight piece of shit really vitriolic? apologies if it comes out as being bad, just don't particularly rate Gallagher.

It wasn't aimed exclusively at you, hence me not quoting your post.

Having said that, lightweight (fair enough), piece of shit (no need).

Anyway, you say what you want mate, it's just my opinion.

Galley has some good attributes, and he also has some shortcomings but then that's why he doesn't play for Man City! Some people need to get real. He's never been a player to stick a foot in or challenge physically for headers etc. But there are things he adds which has made him a regular, and if he goes I'll wish him all the best and hope we replace him with a better player.

I think he is quite usefull, like someone above said, against lesser physical teams, his technique, crossing, shooting and set pieces are more than enough for the Championship and he can actually play some good passes.

It's just the defensive aspects that he is not that good at.

I also think he is a nice guy to have around the team, a positive character.

He denies the rumour cue more speculation about his future tbh hope he goes has no recognized position on the pitch isn't a winger nor a striker, and is a lightweight piece of shit.

I think the thing with Gally that annoys the fans is his reluctance to head or tackle. His attempts at tackling, in particular, are that of a player who looks to be more interested in avoiding injury than winning the ball. Which is even more frustrating because as a professional player he's not even got to worry about his income should he pick up an injury.

Which team do you support?

Hearing rumours Paul Gallagher is being looked at by Bolton Wanderers, if true I think this would be a good move for the player and good business for us. I am not Gallagher fan, however acknowledge some moments of brilliance from the player but drifts out of games too much and reluctant to stick his boot in. As Gallagher lives in the Northwest and his wife is expecting twins for the player to be with his wife all week instead of living in hotels would help him and his family. Benefit for us we off load him at a profit, and would hope reinforcements would be lined up.

If they offer better wages, im sure he'll jump ship. He's only in the game for money.

Rather harsh, he's not having the greatest season but some of his criticism is unfair and I think from some its just because he's mates with Wellens.

Which team do you support?

His name is rather deceiving, never seems Happy to me, just moans or posts links to newspapers.

I admitted on the previous page I may have been a bit harsh calling Gally a lightweight piece of shit but I still stand I don't rate him at all.

Or the fact he shy's out of every challange? Has absolutely no pace? Never tracks back?

List is endless.

Decent technique yes, but when do we ever score from his corners? Never.

If Gally didn't score the occassional worldie goal, which he has done, then what does he offer to the team? People are going to say his set pieces and delivery? We rarely rarely score from set peices and his delivery is often very poor. TBH Danns has a better delivery from a corner.

I completely disagree with all the hatred and derogatory comments being spouted around aboit our own players on here. Personally I dont think he's a bad player, yes he has weaknesses which we all know about but can we not just move on... love him or hate him its a game about scoring goals and hes one of our top goal scorers so NP is going to be reluctant to not keep him in the 11 and I stand by that decision.

I dont see a thread being made every week about Matt Mills' tendancy to hoof ball to nobody and start hoping for him to be sold.
