LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Back up for Kasper certainly better than Weale. We have Logan and Smith for back up
Happy Fox Posted 28 January 2012 Author Posted 28 January 2012 We have Logan and Smith for back up Say Kasper got injured or suspension would you trust a young rookie to produce the goods or Logan who is a league 2 goalkeeper, Lonergan is reliable at this level.
Krimbinho Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Sorry but Lonergan is way to good to be a bench warmer...
HEGGSY Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Sorry but . Forget the lonergan part, how have you only just heard Leeds are interested in Wellens.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Sorry but Lonergan is way to good to be a bench warmer... agreed
FrankieADZ Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Couldnt see Lonergan coming here unless he was number 1, thats why he went Leeds in the first place...to be there number 1...thats not really 100% worked out.
Staff Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 james nursey just tweeted weve had a bid rejected for vaz te
dave_the_fox Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Barnsley risk losing star striker Ricardo Vaz Te on a free transfer this summer. The Championship Tykes have snubbed bids this month for the Portuguese forward from West Ham, Southampton and Leicester. Vaz Te,25, who is the club's top scorer with 12 goals this season, is out of contract in July.
Libertine Dream Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 james nursey just tweeted weve had a bid rejected for vaz te Hope we go in again, looked decent at KPS, Vaz Te Drinkwater and Gray were stand out that day

So you would rather spend what £2m max on a keeper just to be a sub? Because Lonergan will not be cheap
lcfcsnow Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 He's had a decent half season at Barnsley, before that he'd done nothing of any note in 8 years as a pro, we need a player like him but I'm not sure Vaz Te is the man, shame we can't go out and scout players we're left to bid for those who have performed well against us. (which isn't too difficult given our midfield situation)
THEFATBASTARD Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 comedy transfer news, roman bedner to blackpool, you can write them off now.
Happy Fox Posted 28 January 2012 Author Posted 28 January 2012 Vaz Te is alright can produce the goods at this level based on this seasons evidence whether he can make the step up who knows I would take a gamble on him.
HEGGSY Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 So you would rather spend what £2m max on a keeper just to be a sub? Because Lonergan will not be cheap Did you know that Leeds are owned by Ken Bates? Although I do agree lonergan is too good to sit on the bench.
Narborough_fox Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Vaz Te failed at Hibernian and that alone tells it's own story.
cc_star Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 Vaz Te failed at Hibernian and that alone tells it's own story. Yeah, because performance at one club means it'll be like that at all clubs. Would love to Barnsley again now, don't think they'll be first to every ball now that's we've finally learned to compete & Vaz Te certainly wouldn't take the piss out of Mills & SSL to the same extent he did to our defence that day.
Tielemans63 Posted 28 January 2012 Posted 28 January 2012 I'm not convinced by Vaz Te at all. To me, he's a shite player who's having a good run and that's about it. Hope there's no truth in the story.

dpjfox Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 hope we can seal this and have him in the squad for Wednesday
psychonaut Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 hope we can seal this and have him in the squad for Wednesday Dont you mean for Leicester?
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 Did you know that Leeds are owned by Ken Bates? Although I do agree lonergan is too good to sit on the bench. Of course I know they're owned by that legend But I still can't see him selling him and Lonergan coming to sit on the bench
