marko Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Watch a fair bit of it yesterday, was easily one of the most boring days of cricket i've seen 1 wicket in 66 overs and only 154 runs. I love test cricket but probably cos i was a neutral i found it quite boring, i don't mind slow run rates etc but it didn't seem like much of a battle out there just pure slow non aggressive batting. How do you like them apples? Not too bad from KP.
Captain... Posted 5 April 2012 Posted 5 April 2012 Any highlights on freeview (non sky) TV? I can't find anything.
ScouseFox Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Swann gets two quick wickets in the penultimate over. Just what we needed. 218-6, lead of 33. Tomorrow should be good.

ScouseFox Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 Tomorrow the last day? I've lost track of time! Haha yeah. First time we've taken a test to the fifth day for quite a while if I remember rightly!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Looks like an easy england win. It does now. Only because cook and KP steadied the ship!
Corky Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Good way to end a poor winter. Know where we need to improve.
Captain... Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 Good way to end a poor winter. Know where we need to improve. The Indian sub continent, that's where, big series coming up against India next winter.
Guest MattP Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Just landed back in Manchester, great test match, great country, great country. Like said a good end to a poor winter but that important 1 spot retained with an easy series up next. Will post a few pics up this week after I've caught up with work.
accessory Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 The Windies look like they could be a bit more resilient than on recent tours. I don't think they should be taken for granted.
Guest MattP Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Can't see the Windies causing us many problems, not one of them likes the swinging ball and Swann will eat away at the amount of lefties they have....
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Australia V Windies appears headed for a draw
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 Australia V Windies appears headed for a draw God Michael Clarke is becoming a good skipper, a nice declaration and attacking bowling/field placements won us the match....just. Great to see young Jimmy Patto take a wicket with his first ball back from injury. Also intresting we are playing 2 spin bowlers for the first time since probably Warne and Macgill.
Voll Blau Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Real shame about the rain in Trinidad. Sammy was really taking it to the Aussies, could've been a great last couple of sessions.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Real shame about the rain in Trinidad. Sammy was really taking it to the Aussies, could've been a great last couple of sessions. But we had Gazza Lyon ready to spin us to a great victory
I am Rod Hull Posted 8 May 2012 Posted 8 May 2012 Swanny and Anderson on 5 live, quality stuff with plenty of laughs. Skip to 10 minutes, it starts to warm up at about 17. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01h5x52/5_live_Sport_07_05_2012/
marko Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 So, today marks the start of the English summer test series against the Windies and SA. We've won the toss and stuck the Windies into bat; I fancy us bowling them out fairly cheaply first innings.
Guest MattP Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Agree, ball swinging about all over the shop already.
