Very ambitious, but with the 2 Dembas set to dominate Newcastle's front 2, does anyone fancy either Best or Ameobi?

Funny you should say that I was thinking about Ameobi earlier today myself. Doubt we could get Best.

Most of the best loanees we've had over the years have been relative unknowns.

If we want to bring in a couple of kids from the Man Utd or Arsenal reserves so they can cut their mustard here, that's fine by me. Think Cleverley when he came to us and Henri Lansbury at Norwich.

Cant imagine Ameobi being allowed out on loan, he still has a role to play as their 'battering ram', as we saw when the beat United not too long ago.

Its still a good shout though, and he would ruin some defenders in this league.

Winer needed and another Cm needed.

Winner or whiner :P , we've got plenty of the 2nd but very few of the 1st

PS I know you meant winger

A winger and a striker please that is of the quality to come straight in and do a job.

Hmmm where have I heard this before?

If we are even considering winning 10 of the last 16 we need personnel who are capable of doing so......

Hmmm where have I heard this before?

Maybe if we could just win back to back games........

Hmmm where have I heard......... who am i kidding here..........?

It's all over bar the whining this season.

Thank god, we lack serious depth now.

I know Danns is only banned for one game because of two yellow's, but I still think when he is back we need another central midfielder.

I 100% agree with you simmo86, we need one player in all those three positions. We had too many central midfielders, now we have don't have enough.

Our wingers aren't good enough, especially Lloyd and Gally, Lloyd is getting old now, Gally is hit and miss, and we just have to wait and see what Marshall brings.

And Pearson said he want's another striker, maybe he may extend Delfouneso loan, I liked the look of Delfouneso against Boro.

Some players I would look at...

Central Midfielders - Darren Pratley, Jacob Mellis, Ross Barkley

Wingers - Kerim Frei, Dan Gosling, Danny Rose, Ryan Fredricks, Adam Hammill

Strikers - Nick Blackman, Peter Lovenkrands, Jay Bothroyd, Stephen Dobbie, Callum McManaman

Long list sorry, but I feel all those players could bring something to our side, three of them would be excellent.

Tom Carroll has gone on loan to Derby, and his fellow Spurs youngster friend Ryan Fredricks looks a good talent.

Callum McManaman aswell, when he visited the King Power for Blackpool, looked their most dangerous player when he came on, and some tv games I have seen after that match he has looked very good.

Had to laugh about the comment that we are hoarding loan players... Off the top of my head isn`t Delfonso the only player we currently have on loan?

And Johnson?Think it was tongue in cheek comment after Cardiff's past recent history with loan signings...

I would love cox here but if we Carnt get him just thought of top of my head, about portsmouth's financial mess would it be worth a loan deal with an option to buy for varney? He is a local lad who Plays with his heart in his sleeve I know he is a lot like Nugent but that's not a bad thing is it!?

He's basically the only player that has ever said publically that he'd love to play for us. Versatile and can play wide or through the middle. Might not be a bad option.

I wonder if there is any practical purpose in bring anyone in now? Our season appears to be over, and it may be to our advantage for Pearson to have a closer look at who will need to go or stay come the end of the season.
