Corky Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Sorry guys, I think it's a bit cheeky on our part to use a loophole like this and you'd have to ask the CE why he chose to do it. I suppose it is fair to say that there has been a fair bit of trouble between hte two clubs over the years, so possibly justifiable.... However, I'd be pissed off if we didn't get the full allocation Honest question, would you sell 4000 tickets if you had them? By the way, we aren't really up our own arses, it's a bit of running joke about how "massive" we are, so don't take any comments about "smashing" you too seriously. Most of us sensible fans think we're favourites obviously, but Lesta are no mugs and it's still going to be a tough game. I'll be delighted to win 1-0 quite honestly. 4k might be pushing it a bit, 3.5k we would definitely.
Storming Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 I cant belive LCFC have taken this so lightly its a fookin disgrace .They are treating us like fools and we like fools are taking it Grow some balls and stand up for us we Beat them with the Peason sending Off and now the Beckford go for the Hat-trick and get our full allocation for this match :@
1964FOX Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Here's my complaint to the FA I would like to complain about the FA's decision to allow Norwich City to reduce the FA cup allocation of tickets in their 5th round match against my team Leicester City. I understand my club brought this to the attention of the FA when refused the expected 15% allocation but had no joy and have been told that the extra tickets would not be given due to safety reasons. The 2400 allocation we now have is less than 10% of their ground capacity and I am told some clubs have been allowed more to premier league games.so I can't understand the concern for safety. I am offended that our fans are considered dangerous and facts prove that in recent years there has been very little trouble caused by Leicester City fans. In fact we took 8,000 fans recently to local opposition at Nottingham Forest and there was no trouble. If a local derby can accommodate these sort of numbers why can't Norwich. It only leads myself and other fans to believe this is purely to maintain numbers for the home fans and nothing to do with safety and we are seeking to plan a lawful protest on the day of the game in or around the ground. As the governing body of this wonderful competition I would hope you are able to explain why we are so unsafe, we accommodated 4,000 Swindon fans without a problem in the last round so why are Norwich being allowed to be selfish. I look forward to a prompt reply as the match is to be played on the 18th February Yours hopefully Gary

Didn't see any trouble before or after but happened somewhere. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-16461744
1964FOX Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Sorry guys, I think it's a bit cheeky on our part to use a loophole like this and you'd have to ask the CE why he chose to do it. I suppose it is fair to say that there has been a fair bit of trouble between hte two clubs over the years I have to disagree, there has historically been very little trouble between our clubs. The exception being three years ago when Norwich fans caused issues in our city centre. I realise this was by a small group of your fans I'm sure you would also disapprove of. This is just a selfish act by the owners of your club, I'm sure you would be just as annoyed if it were the other way around.
SaltyDog Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 However, I'd be pissed off if we didn't get the full allocation Honest question, would you sell 4000 tickets if you had them? Personally, I think 4000 would sell out to season ticket holders alone before getting chance to go on general sale... we took 8000 to Forest in round 3 and could have sold more... ok ok, so Forest are local rivals and much closer for travelling but still we could sell half that allocation for a trip to East Anglia We have a great away following
1964FOX Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Hope this doesn't render our arguement irrelevant but there were 10 arrests after that game. Didn't see any trouble before or after but happened somewhere. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-16461744 Ten arrests would not be considered a large amount, some would be for drunken behaviour and there were no notable instances of disorder. In fact Nottingham Police suggested the event was a success following the unprecedented amount of away supporters that visited the city.
Tommeh Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 FSF have said it might have something to do with our fans standing and blocking aisles. Again, utter bollocks reasoning if that is the case as I'd guess most away fans who have been to Carrow Road this season will have all stood. These are similar to which have hit Man United for a while, its why they get 1,900 at Spurs and 1,700 at Sunderland.
JmorsonLCFC Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 we would easy sell 4k, i have lost all respect for norwich. and i hope they go down. and grant holt's the fake steve howard!!
NCFC in Peace Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Fair points. I'm not sure how much joy you'll have, but I see nothing wrong with offering the full allocation. I'd prefer us to maintain our traditional good relations with all other clubs. We've been a soft touch in the past, but this is going a bit far imo. Good luck with that and here's to a cracking FA cup tie
Basingstoke Fox Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 For the record, looking at one of their forums, I don't think the Norwich fans are actually that bad. Their club however, can f**k off.
Dan Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Not going out of principle, what a load of bollocks.
carlhltid Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Its always the same for away games? What's the problem there. due to the smaller than anticipated allocation away tickets will INITIALLY be available at strictly ONE - PER -SEASON TICKET HOLDER / MEMBER quote from the website ?
Libertine Dream Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Well if they're worries about safety they might aswell give us 0, they won't have problem then. Muppets.
Brizzle Fox Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Too be honest I would think that most right minded Norwich fans would find this disgusting and if you read their boards that would appear to back this up. They used to be a classy club but it seems that this Dave McNally character since he has taken over the Chief Executive role has done all he can to diminish this. There would have been a bit more logic to them trying to use the excuse that they have 22K season ticket holders and it is their T&Cs that they get all cup games as part of the price of this season tickets, hence severely limiting additional space in Carrow Road......but safety reasons. Pull the other one. Oh as an aside it would seem that a number of Leicester fans have taken up the opportunity to email Mr McNasty direct to express their dissatisfaction, if this posting on 'wrath of the barclay' is anything to go by. Keep up the good work guys! "Which one of you twats gave out my email address?" (n/m) (NCFC) - davemcnally62, Feb 7, 17:04:15 Oh if you do go on that forum, yes it does really look like it has been designed and maintained by a toddler.
cosb6 Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 I don't know why Norwich Fans would disagree that this is a poor draw for us. There's a number of LOWER division clubs we could have played (and been favourites to beat) such as Crawley, Stevenage, Sheff Wed. Or we could be at home, or away at a BIG club, i.e. Everton, Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, Villa, or Martin'O'Neil's Sunderland So, as the odds go, more that 1/2 the Draws would, in my view, be better than away at Norwich. A club where they will be favourites, but it's no MAJOR day out, to a venue we haven't been to in years.... So, to iterate, it's a $hit draw!

The Wrath of the Barclay board is a really shoddy design! Maybe thats why Norwich only gave us 2400 tickets....forum envy! Bastards!
reynard Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 I've got to ask the simple question.... what is the ****ing point in having a rule which states the away team is entitled to 15%, if its not followed? If there's that much of a safety problem, then knock the extra seats needed for whoever off the home allocation? Take them to a replay and give them 10 ****ing seats. If there's such a problem with small clubs not being able to accommodate away supporters isn't the usual thing to move the game to a nearby neutral ground with a bigger capacity thus ensuring proper away allocation and increased turnover for each club. I'd like to suggest Portman Road!
cambridgefox Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Its warm in my garden, ive just burnt all my Delia Smith books in protest, smells better than the recipes ive cooked in it. Got to go the wife is on the warpath!
allotment-fox Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 5live fa cup preview 7.00-7.45 text in 85058. If enough of us texted we might get some attention done just that text stated " The ticket allocation for lcfc at Norwich in next round not away fan friendly and a cheep scam"
Karljohn Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 I wouldnt goto Norwich if it was £5 and we had 10000 tickets, who the f**k do they think they are anyway? Its a classic case of delia's "where are you" well we are all stuck at home either ticketless or not wishing to visit your shithole!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Bollocks can they exploit a loophole. They can't say that we can't have a bigger allocation because of safety reasons. They have to do something about it. Change it so that in this game, away fans are moved to a different stand where there won't be any safety concerns, or give us the full 4k tickets and implement more segregation to remove safety concerns. I can't believe this is actually happening. It's ridiculous! I know the FA is bent and twisted, but I'm with them on this. Ok, they're claiming on the safety of the crowd, but in reality its due to the fact that they have I beleive, 22k STH. They don't want to move them and put them at an inconvenience. This also is the reason they can't give us a full stand, they don't have a stand to give us! Probably won't be missing out on much anyway if the rumours are true about being made to sit down
