smallpauldj Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 See no reason why we shouldn't be getting 28k in for all 3 games with this offer, I've had a ST for years just knowing it garentees me a cheap seat at wembley IF we get there It still amazes me tho the fans that can't afford to come and pay a normal price find £90 for a wembley one to sell that out. And it's the same shit football as they will put it.
gerrytaggart Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 I've said it's a great offer and that it's great for people that can't get a season ticket. I just get annoyed that the people that put their money in before a new season has started seem to get very little back from the club, whereas those that don't get lots of great offers. sorry mate, I still fail to see your point...what season ticket holders get back from the club is consistently cheaper tickets regardless of what offers are on...if you actually look at each offer and work out the prices there are absolutely no examples of where non season ticket holders get a ticket for the same price as season ticket holders...looks to me like the owners are very careful with the pricing of these offers and do recognize the price season ticket holders have paid for equivalent tickets!...and also bear in mind that per ticket per match the club make far less money from the sale of season tickets as compared with regular tickets.
Jace Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Personally sounds like a great idea to me, much better than half price or discounted prices for single matches its rewarding fans for going to more matches with a discount exactly the same as a season ticket. Its good the club want to encourage more new fans not every Leicester City fan starts supporting the Club pre season and buys a season ticket straight away
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Its a good offer for people like myself who because i work shifts and up until recently work 2 out of every 3 Saturdays on average i cant really buy a season ticket. I have had a season ticket prior to doing the job i currently do but i have largely been a "Member" most of the past 32 years of supporting City and over the last few seasons ive had to settle for going to between 5 and 10 games in total (per season). Offers like this really do help your average none ST fan. Having said all this i do have some sympathy with Bert as i do believe the bread and butter of this club (ST Holders) should be looked after
The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 10% off at the club shop is crap really. If you're prepared to spend 45 quid on a shirt then surely 4.50 off won't make much difference. It will to families I guess, but its hardly an incentive to have a ST. I only have mine because I want to stand up, and the only bonus on having one is the priority system

I know you can. In my eyes that's wrong, and will be corrected soon anyway.

What the hell is it you want? You're paying to be permitted access to the stadium for all our home games at a cheaper rate then anyone else and that's precisely what you get. If you don't like it, don't bother with it.
MPH Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Even if you took up every offer going, over the course of season a ST still works out fvck loads cheaper. Unless you're sexually attracted to empty blue seats, I can't see why anyone would have a problem with this. woah woah woah... back up and read again. NO ONE has a problem with this.... i dont see a single poster who has said anything different to it being a good idea.... they have asked the question about season ticket holders, tho'. But engage your brain before posting.

Speaking as a former ST holder I can't get my head around people who would rather we played in front of 20K, than let non ST holders in for a few quid less.
NewburyFox Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Has anyone else noticed the error in the title? Very good offer by the club, anything that helps boost the attendances is fine by me.
HEGGSY Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Has anyone else noticed the error in the title? See see

Corky Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Three of the bigger home games for £50? Brilliant deal.
davieG Posted 12 February 2012 Author Posted 12 February 2012 I buy a ST for the following reason. I'm fairly sure I'll be attending the vast majority of home games, only missed a couple in the last 5 years It's cheaper I don't have the hassle of buying individual match tickets and knowing how often they mess up my additional ticket purchases that's worth a lot. Fortunately cash flow is not a problem for me but the total cost is important as I'm on a fixed/declining income The ticket exchange although it's now a total cock up with having to hand in ST, match grading and apparently now a limit on the number of games. Priority for away games although that didn't help for the Norwich game. I rarely use the shop discount I'm not fussed about where I sit as you get a decent view anywhere so it's not so I can sit in the same seat in fact I liked the ST I used to have in the Filbo Kop where there was unreserved seating for ST holders I have no problems with ticket discounts as I feel the match day prices are excessive even in comparison to the ST price and I'm dead set against match gradings and see no reason why it's dearer to watch specific games when they're all in the same competition and at the same venue.
Brown Fox Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 They don't do students though do they? I'm a student (kind of) but over 22. If you're a university student they give you the same price as an under 18. Just show your student card. Definitely do the student offer. Just ask at the ticket office if you need more info.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 This. Speaking as a former ST holder I can't get my head around people who would rather we played in front of 20K, than let non ST holders in for a few quid less. I agree with this. So what if non ST holders get occasional deals? I'd rather have the place full and bouncing than with tons of empty seats. That said, I think the club could be more generous with ST holders in terms of giveaways, discounts etc. Anyone in the club with a marketing brain will put scarves on seats ahead of the next game or send one free to ST holders or sell them for a quid a pop in the ground. I sometimes think marketing at football clubs is sadly lacking.
ozleicester Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 Season ticket holders should get something back to reward their loyalty like a free meal with Michael Johnson at least then the club will be getting something back from his wages Good Idea... but, should we be encouraging Johnson to eat more?
