L4EV Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 He's massively overrated and a bit of a tosser. But at Leeds we have Lees, Bruce, O'Dea, Bromby and O'Brien as our centre-halves, Mills would be an improvement on all of these so we'll take him.
gerrytaggart Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 I think it's fascinating what makes fans take players to their hearts, whilst others are shunned and eventually, in some cases, despised. Surely its all down to effort and desire on the pitch....regardless of goals, clean sheets winning tackles etc....when there is a lack of effort it is plainly obvious.
HEGGSY Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 http://www.mirrorfoo...icle869983.html Leeds are ready to end Matt Mills’ Leicester nightmare. New Elland Road boss Neil Warnock wants to sign the £5million defender on loan to boost the Yorkshire club's Championship promotion challenge. Mills, 25, has been frozen out after a row with Foxes boss Nigel Pearson this week.

Your more than welcome to him, he isn't that great in all honesty and will make you a worse team defensively.

Salieri Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 If we hold even tiny aspirations of making the Play Offs this year then we should not be loaning anyone out to potential rivals to the spots. You'd have thought we'd have learnt after the DJ Campbell fiasco. Loan him to Donny.

leicesterisme Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Your more than welcome to him, he isn't that great in all honesty and will make you a worse team defensively. He's better than any of their current CB's.
Happy Fox Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 that's not possible Basically you will be leaking more goals imo.

This does have all the makings of DJ Campbell Mark 2 If Mills really was as dire as his numerous critics imply, how come he led Reading to three straight wins against us, and into a playoff final? And why does he have a better record as our captain than Richie Wellens, a player who has had his own fair share of attitude problems with managers?

He's nowhere near as bad as some make out. If we'd have signed him for a fee not quite so over inflated then there would not be such an issue about him. He has been a tad disappointing, yes, but if it wasn't for his alleged outburst then I would have been more than happy for him to be challenging SSL and Morgan (and Bamba) for a place in the first team. He's certainly good enough for this level but it seems like it's just not gonna happen for him here, but let's not help our rivals out though. Again.
Kitchandro Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Not at Birmingham or Blackpool he wasn't. Are we Birmingham or Blackpool?
Salieri Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 lol Campbell was wank, give over. lol Campbell was wank, give over. I think you'll find he played a huge part in Blackpool going up that year.

Tielemans63 Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 that's not possible My Leeds supporting mates tell me that Leeds' biggest problem is that their centre halves are all short arses or Darren O'Dea. That true? If so, MM would be a good addition for Leeds IMHO. However I still think this has all come from a mispelt Tweet! Trust The Mirror to jump in there.
Karljohn Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Never rated the lad, Sven was the only person on earth that thought he was worth anything over 2m.

The reason we paid over the odds for him and offered him such a high contract was because two Prem clubs went in for him and Sven got into an auction with them. Ironically, Pearson could end up making the same mistake with him that Sven made with Jack Hobbs.
Salieri Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 And he also played a huge part in getting us relegated. How do you work that out?
Guest ttfn Posted 24 February 2012 Posted 24 February 2012 Not at Birmingham or Blackpool he wasn't. He was wank at Birmingham. The only club he has had a modicum of success at in his whole career is Blackpool. Mills has been poor from the start here. I can count the number of decent displays he's put in for us on one hand. Good riddance - we have 2 centre halves that we've seen are far better and 1 who most here suspect will be better.
