We've more of a chance V Chelsea away than Stevenage home

I actually for the first time ever wanted an away fixture against a better team for footballing reasons not "a big day out".

I think we'd have done better in the premiership this season than the championship and I think yesterday's perfomance highlighted that.

When we're allowed time on the ball against quality opposition we prevail. Teams come to the KP and say "lets get in their faces and not allow them play" and we crumble.

If we get Chelsea, lets hope that AVB is under pressure to play football extra fluidly in one last gasp to keep his job.

If only Pearson could come up with some forumula to grind out ugly results like he used to and keep us playing like we did yersterday.

I don't think we should underestimate Chelsea. They are still full of internationals and we aint that brilliant yet.

WTF chelsea are in the premiership and stevenage are in league 1 HOW CHELSEA EASYER

Southampton and Cardiff are higher in the league then Barnsley, and we all know how that turned out. his point is we play better when there is no pressure on us.

Love it how Chelsea are not playing at there best, so everyone thinking it'll be the easier game for us, I have to disagree there still 5th in prem, with a reserve team better then ours, I'd say we would have a better chance of beating brum (but that's just my opinion) we will still raise our game for either side

listen, our boys are well up for the fa cup. did you all see nuge and danns celebrate? this opitimizes the whole team. They really want this and that naarwich game gave it 100%. Yes Chelsea are a big team. Two things tho, they are a shower right now and we owe them a beating.

I have a good feeling about this.(also buuuurMINGham could still go through)

Well proud of Leicester for getting this far.

Bring on the Chelsea!!!

I've got a feeling about this year.

The gap between Premiership and Championship seems to have blurred a bit in the domestic cups at times, with the Premiership clubs clearly thinking they've bigger fish to fry. Arsenal yesterday were clearly more concerned with securing a CL spot, Chelsea were dreadful for 45 minutes against Birmingham and we all know what we did to a Norwich side more concerned with securing their place for next season. Even Liverpool's 6-1 pasting of Brighton was helped by a truly freakish three own goals.

If, as expected, Chelsea progress in the replay against Birmingham and are still in the Champions League then I feel we can capitalise.

Chelsea are a better team than Birmingham and Stevenage, on paper they are a harder draw.

It's pointless saying one will be easier than the other and I want to play these though.

We'll get who we'll get and we shouldn't expect to beat either, both are above us in the football ladder and we'll be away from home.

Having said that, with a full away end and the players suddenly realising that they can save themselves some dignity and get themselves to play at Wembley despite the shit season most of them have had, we've got a chance to pull off an upset. The players shouldn't feel pressure because in the FA Cup nothing was expected of them. They will be cock-a-hoop that it's not a league game because the league season has been so depressing for all concerned. They will be massively up for it whoever we play.

I was disappointed it wasn't a home draw, but we've just got to look at it as: Our season could have been 'over', but now all of a sudden we've got a great game to look forward to. This could be one of the great days. We mustn't get downhearted. We're in the quarter-final of the FA Cup, lets just take whatever's thrown our way and support the team like we have done in recent weeks. Then, it's up to them. Che sera sera and all that.

same old foxestalk.. one win and were world beaters..

chelsea may have some bad days recently and alot going off but there still 5th?? in the premier league and have a great squad..

it was only a couple of weeks ago everyone was saying how alot of players are not good enough yet now people think we would have a better chance against chelsea than stevenage..

spurs were poor today and the pitch also but they was hardly threatend, and i have no doubt they will easy see them off in the replay.

This is what they'd have us believe when they realise they're not as good as they think they are.

After all the people on here slagging off Norwich for their delusions of grandure and then gloating when "karma" kicked in after ticketgate, this is bound to end in tears.

I'd be ecstatic with a replay against either to be honest.

Great post this. Echos my sentiments entirely. Just go and enjoy the day wherever its at.

One point I would like to make though for anyone intending to go to this.. If we get 6k at either ground, I don't think we'd get louder than we did on Saturday. Why? Because everyone there knew that it was vital everyone was singing to make themselves heard. With 6k there, half the fans will leave it to the other half to do the singing. (i really hope i get proved wrong because f me it'd be loud if you trebled the volume from saturday)

I bloody hate that we love you song still, as everyone knows, but it doesn't half gee up the fans into singing the proper songs too.

Saturday was the best atmosphere I've witnessed since probably Cardiff away in the playoffs and preston away getting into the playoffs. Even the old people behind me were standing. Fair play to them.

The problem with relying on the theory that we have a better chance against teams we are not expected to beat is that as soon as it becomes close to reality it defeats itself. We should all keep quiet and assume we will suffer a loss.
