LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 So it's only a rumour? Just like the rumours that SSL was going aswell in January, maybe Mills has spoken to Pearson and they might of made up or Mills is keeping his head down and focusing on getting back in the first team just like SSL had to do
Jace Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 I heard all that really happened was SSL stole some of Pearson's lunch and then blamed it on Mills, just a rumour.
Happy Fox Posted 26 February 2012 Posted 26 February 2012 You'd think so but the club like to keep things internal - imagine if it got out into the papers! Couldn't they come with a mutual agreement or something, I don't know what the best thing to do in this situation is, but if I am honest he needs to be sacked this is a very bad offense and what sort of signal does it send to other players if Mills gets off scot free and on loan. Of course this may be all hypothetical.

Sacked so he can go and join Leeds or someone else on a permanent transfer with a cosy signing on fee? Yeah, that'd punish him far more... Least this way he's in the shop window and we'll recoup some of what we paid for him if he performs well.
Jimmy Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Surely if Mills decked NP he would be sacked by the club? you'd of thought that about Dennis Wise, we did sack him and got sued over it
Len Finsbury Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Whether this is a good decision will be reflected in our results. If nothing changes ten perhaps he isn't as bad an influence as people assume. If we start to improve, and it was his attitude that was contributing to our inconsistency, then goodbye Mills. He wasn't a terrible player for Reading last season so perhaps the move here was like blowing smoke up his arse and his ego has got the better of him. I'd like to see him have a future here, but not at the cost of being disruptive.
TheOnlyWayIsSchlupp! Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Don't think Mills should've gone IMO, yes he was a bit sh!t at the beginning but apart from that he has been quality, good leadership, passion for the club, controlling the defence, hardly losing a header... Sad to see him go, would love to know the full story/reason behind him leaving
Callabinho Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Seriously nut big Nige? His head is the size of a house.
Bert Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Seriously nut big Nige? His head is the size of a house. You must live in a small house.
Callabinho Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 You must live in a small house. Very, I'd like to upgrade to a kompany sized one next.

Happy Fox Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Duncan Castles @DuncanCastles · Open @affers1178 @lds120188 Leicester had agreed to cover Mills' 'generous' wages. Deal fell through last week because of the player.#lufc #lcfc
Out Foxed Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 this mills situation has been an embarrassment from the start. if we can get 3 mill for him in the summer i will be pleased.
Jace Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Teams must love doing deals with us we give out better deals than roman abramovich
Happy Fox Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 From Duncan Castles information Mills doesn't want to go, but we want him out on loan obviously?, why is Mills reluctant to go is it because of bonuses he receives?
jonlcfc1990 Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 It's a shame but it seems to me NP has read the situation as unrepairable loan him out until the summer and get rid i guess. Although if Mills does want to pull his socks up when he gets back after his loan spell he might come back stronger and in a strange way this could help our playoff hopes. It will give the team a strong sense of team spirit a sort of us against them mentality your either with us or without us and looking at Leeds remaining fixtures http://www.leedsunited.com/page/Fixtures/0,,10273,00.html Having a strong leeds might grab some points off the big boys and slow the pack down so a strong leeds could bode well for us and we play them in the last game and he won't be able to play so another plus. I wouldn't like the Mills situation to end like this and the way it has but the question is does he want to end it like this? and only he will know the answer to that
Jace Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 From Duncan Castles information Mills doesn't want to go, but we want him out on loan obviously?, why is Mills reluctant to go is it because of bonuses he receives? My guess is because if he is loaned out then the Club will be looking for a sale meaning Mills will have to agree new contract terms with another Club and taking a massive pay cut.
MattyFromLE Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I'm still undecided about this. In hindsight this signing should never have been made. If Mandaric didn't push Pearson out, bring Soasa/Sven in, millions wouldn't have been spent etc. I have no idea why Pearson had to go in the first place. But anyways, unless somebody has a time machine thats that. My point is, I can't wait until this summer when Pearson can build a team like he was doing before he was moronically pushed out. As much as i feel bad for Mills, we need to clear the deadwood and massively high wages to build for the future and not just for now.
Mack Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I've also had it from a media source that he nutted Pearson.

Guest MattP Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 I've also had it from a media source that he nutted Pearson. If he laid the nut on Pearson surely Mills would be in hospital?
Reynard Bleu Posted 27 February 2012 Posted 27 February 2012 Clearly NP felt he had to remove him quickly, NP believes his presence around the place is not helping matters. Serious breakdown in trust/faith. Lets hope it doesnt have any effect on the rest of the team.
