Simmo86 Posted 11 May 2013 Posted 11 May 2013 My mate from work is from Oporto but is Benfica mad! He's not going to be in a great place right now.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Can any league match the French Ligue 1? 6 different champions in the last 6 seasons. 2007-08 - Lyon 2008-09 - Bordeaux 2009-10 - Marseille 2010-11 - Lille 2011-12 - Montpellier 2012-13 - Paris Saint-Germain
21st Century Fox Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Those days are numbered now though. It's going to be a PSG/Monaco duopoly for the foreseeable future.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 (edited) Those days are numbered now though. It's going to be a PSG/Monaco duopoly for the foreseeable future. Monaco with that awful ground that looks like Tracy Island. Edited 13 May 2013 by Michael The Work Geordie
21st Century Fox Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Monaco with that awful ground that looks like Tracy Island. Every ground should have a car park under the pitch But seriously unless the league force them to register the club in France they won't be paying anywhere near the level of tax the rest of the league have to and considering Rybolovlev has a few billion to spend they're going to be laughing.
Tom17LCFC Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Fenerbahce fan stabbed to death by Galatasaray fans after the Istanbul derby yesterday.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 (edited) A Monaco youth player has let slip that Falcao is over there for a medical... Edited 13 May 2013 by Michael The Work Geordie
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 And he's promptly deleted it. Either lying or told to by the club, I've no idea.
21st Century Fox Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Gattuso didn't last long at Sion. Lasted 3 months as player-coach and becomes the fifth coach to be sacked by Sion this season!
21st Century Fox Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Real Madrid defender Fábio Coentrão probably regrets not checking the team sheet this weekend after sitting on the bench for a game against Espanyol that he had not been picked for. Coentrão sits on the bench unaware until Iker Casillas and Karim Benzema point out his mistake. Coentrão eventually goes to sit in the stands but is then unable to find his allocated seat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0s5LSikUEy8
MC Prussian Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Gattuso didn't last long at Sion. Lasted 3 months as player-coach and becomes the fifth coach to be sacked by Sion this season! Sion's a constant madhouse with owner/chairman Constantin at the helm. Has fired more managers than anyone else I know in the footballing world! Gattuso's still on the club's books as a player, though.
MC Prussian Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Nantes currently leading 1-0 away at fellow promotion contenders Caen. Should the score stay this way up until the final whistle, they're looking very likely to join Monaco in Ligue 1 - there's only two more games to play for each team.
Floating Fox Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 I see they won, but they're not promoted? 5 points ahead with two games to go looks likely mind...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 May 2013 Posted 17 May 2013 Reports that Carlo Ancelotti has said his goodbyes to players and staff in Paris this morning - heavily linked with Real Madrid. Might be whacking a few bob on Chelsea winning the Prem next season....
ScouseFox Posted 17 May 2013 Posted 17 May 2013 Everyone's favourite French team Guingamp (givers of Drogba and our own Knockaert to name a few) have been promoted with Monaco and Nantes thanks to a last minute winner away from home. Great scenes from the travelling fans. Might cheer Knocky up a bit, too

ScouseFox Posted 17 May 2013 Posted 17 May 2013 Simeone has been going fúcking apeshit at every decision all night and the first time Jose ventures off his bench he gets sent to the stands
Fox in the North Posted 17 May 2013 Posted 17 May 2013 It's just brilliant; I can't begin to tell you how annoyed half the spaniards are here
