Defensively all over the place at times.

Far better in the second half.

Danns was brilliant.

Thought we made quite a few chances, forced a couple of very good saves and scored 2 great goals. A bit more defensive quality and luck and we might have got something. With all due respect, Chelsea were and are shit. Torres is an embarrassment.

Would like to see the penalty shout again at 4-2 before they score.

Just like to say well done to the fans, even when we we'd gone 5-2 down they were still singing there hearts out. Gutted couldn't go and just expecting some abuse now (dad and brother both chelsea fans and both at the game).

Going forward, encouraging, created chances against a Champs league team and caused them a lot of problems.

Defensively, lacked discipline and too many fundamental errors.

Can't be too disheartened by the performance though, well done lads.

There's nothing really to be embarrassed about regarding this result.

Torres was ALWAYS going to score against us - Nostradamus predicted it.

Chelsea are revitalised under Di Matteo and their quality would have shone through regardless.

Very pleased with the second half performance bar some ludicrous defensive play.

Why did Pearson not bring on Marshall for Gally in the first half?!

Fantastic game to watch, really entertaining.

I'm glad we went to give them a game, but we need to have a backup option to 4-4-2. We never going to be able to contain them with that formation, there's a reason teams don't use it at that level anymore, we looked more threatening and more solid in the 4-3-3.

Danns was magnificent, he's the man to build this team around next year, a real reason to hope. Marshall's goal was a beaut.

Very entertaining game in all with some great positives to go forward with Danns and Marshall were brilliant, Wellens and Nugent worked their asses off, Beckford caused lots of problems worst defensive performance I can remember seeing but I'm sure Pearson will be sorting it out at the back

We played well at times, they were just way too good, Torres as I thought took Bamba to spain and back! Proud of the lads though! we didn't roll over and die kept going! Just means we are as good as Napoli

I'd like to see Marshall start every match, and thought Danns was outstanding. Weird feeling that we lost 5-2 and, a couple of different touches in the last ten minutes and we could have had four

Attacking wise, we were magic in parts. Defending we were poor but when you set up with two massive but slow CB's a rb who is a cb and tell your lb to push up, against the speed and agility of Torress and Sturridge then you will get punished.

On the bright side we created some good chances and were unlucky not to score more ourselves. On wards and upwards.

Pretty proud, a little dissapointed we didn't make the patchy performance into a full one. Then again that is the difference between being a great team and a championship team.

Think we can take a lot of positives out of this and take them into our next game which is Blackpool midweek isn't it? Another 6 pointer.

Gives me a lot of hope for next season that. Bit more defensive nouse and we'd have a decent team (we won't be playing against players of this quality every week of course).

Our whole back line played like 7 year olds running up the pitch & playing on the edge of their box the whole game, very amateur

First half, Nugent & Beckford were hiding, not making hardly any runs, happy to be marked out the game, shirking their responsibility and not be open to the pass

Midfield was the only bright spot of the first half, with Dyer looking dangerous, and Wellens & especially Danns looking good.

Second half, again we gifted them a goal with woeful defending, with Konch & Bamba allowing people to run through unchallenged and wide open (happened the whole game & made even Torres look good)

After that & especially with Pearson's subs we went toe to toe with them with Ivanovic proving a rock

Danns was boss & again Wellens was good

but our defence undid all the good work again

Kasper was poor for both corner goal and collectively SSL, Bamba & Konch were absolutely dire, Morgan only marginally better... what chance have you got if you gift a quality team 5! goals

almost frustrating because we could have had 4 ourselves

Oh well, they are Champions League & we're an inconsistant Championship side

Hard to be too critical of the defence, better players than St Ledger, Morgan and Bamba have struggled with Mata, Torres and Sturridge. Definitely missed a defensive midfielder in the first half, perhaps we should have started with Bamba sitting infront of Morgan and St Ledger.

Pleased for Marshall and what a goal, needed something to kick start his career here, hope that is it. Made up for the fact he lost the ball in build up to Chelsea's 4th, who knows what would have happened if we got our 2nd at 3-1 rather than 4-1.

Danns was great, Nugent did much better second half running at them. Played our part going forward in a good game but this left us far too open and they picked us off with ease.

Pleased we made a game of it, worried it could have been double figures after the first 20 mins.

Even when he doesn't score, Torres is a cracking player. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool..
