dave the caveman Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 Listening to one of them on radio 2 now. A single mum, she earns £620 from a part time work, has 80% of her rent and 90% of her child care paid for, plus she gets standard child allowance and tax credits. To my mind, unless she lives in a mansion, she barely has any outgoings at all. Yet she's on the radio claiming she can't afford to eat! ****ing liar! She also has a full tv and broadband package that she "will give up if worst gets to worst"!! You can't eat, but you can afford all this consumer technology! **** off! And this was supposed to be an example of an honest, hard working person who is being hard done by. People were supposed to sympathise with her! She's much better off than I am and I work three times as many hours. What a joke. Really makes me angry. Back to work now so I can pay for her to sit and watch tv. Seriously, **** the twatty left wingers who have got us into this situation. **** you and your irrational, self-hate driven crap. **** you and the way you have forced genuine hard working people into subsidising lazy scum. **** you and the way you don't have the experience, intelligence or mental strength to see the gaping holes on every one of these sob-stories. **** you for being such pretentious, holier than thou yet unfathomably naive fools. I am ashamed to live in a country which has been idiotic enough to give you a voice
Dan Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 So because this woman is, you now believe 99% of people claiming benefits are. Don't get me wrong, we're soft as shite, I've been on it and it's far easier to sign on that it should be, but to claim 99% of people are liars is a bit daft.
21st Century Fox Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 I don't think he's quite as good at statistics as he is at trolling.
FrankieADZ Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 i have to say it amazes me too tbh, Theres alot more about for people know days compared to even 10 years ago. also when they say they "cant afford to eat" i tend not to believe them as when you see the ones saying it....well they arent ****ing slim; there carry a fair bit of "timber" if she cant survive on £620 a month then something is major wrong. also...99% is a bit high....i think its more 90%.....some people are genuinly unable to work.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 It is annoying when you hear people getting more sitting on the social than those grafting at work, but 99% is a high estimate! What annoys me are the kid factory families churning out kids to get more benefits, somehow this has to stop. I have 2 kids have worked for over 20 years could I afford to have more kids? probably not, its way to easy for families on the social to have kids and claim benefits for them. Some people will never ever work.
Guesty Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 Bit of a generalisation there. I do see your point about people that moan they have no money, plead for sympathy, when they have PS3's, SKY, etc. Its like their so screwed up they can't see the wood for the trees and have their priorities all wrong. Whilst some of them know they are playing the system I honestly believe some of them are so stupid they actually believe what they say. Its like a learned helplessness.
The Doctor Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 When did 1 person = the majority? Did I miss an announcement about that?
Haydos Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 When did 1 person = the majority? Did I miss an announcement about that? I think it happened when we saw the OP was ironically a bigger twat than most of the people claiming benefits.
Jace Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 How is she claiming 90% help with child care? The maximum possible is 70%?
Finnegan Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 I've decided to make this thread about cheesecake. I ****ing love a good cheesecake, it's a shame it's always in such tiny portions. Me dad's missus makes a fantastic cheesecake with a (buttery) biscuit base and Maltesers. Glorious it is. You can't beat a lemon cheesecake though. Mmmm, cheesecake.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 99%? Rubbish. However, there is a high percentage who are not genuine. I know some, and they make me sick. They have no conscience about stealing money from the working man's pocket. The majority are genuine, and my heart goes out to them.
Zingari Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 How is it that when the tories are in opposition all the people out of work are there because of the labour party’s inability to stimulate growth and provide enough jobs and opportunity for employment , but when they get into power the same people become layabout lying scumbags?

dave the caveman Posted 19 March 2012 Author Posted 19 March 2012 When did 1 person = the majority? Did I miss an announcement about that? Well as I said this was pitched by BBC radio 2 as someone who was genuinely hard done to. This was the best example of someone being hard done to they could find. Is this example is as bad as it gets, then everybody else is also being given too much.
General Smuts Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 I like cheese and I like cake. But why am I so indifferent towards cheesecake?

If I remember right when Labour were in power we had to import so many foreign workers because our native unemployed were thick ,lazy ,useless wankers.
Finnegan Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 I like cheese and I like cake. But why am I so indifferent towards cheesecake? I'm genuinely surprised to be honest, you strike me as a cheesecake sorta guy.
Zingari Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 If I remember right when Labour were in power we had to import so many foreign workers because our native unemployed were thick ,lazy ,useless wankers. Yes , that’s true , they were products of the Thatcher era edit; i thought beefcake would be more popular than cheesecake on FT
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 19 March 2012 Posted 19 March 2012 My elder step daughter who is a single mother, was advised by the DHSS to give up her part time work, saying she would be better off. What the hell is going on?
