The return of a familiar face and what was said by that person was a shocker though. Brutal.

Although Dinklage was incredible in that scene I think a shout out needs to go to Alfie Allen. He's been excellent since the start and another great performance in such a difficult role last night, he's portraying the transformation into Reek brilliantly.


Natalie Dormer. She is also in The Tudors as Anne Boleyn and gets her paps out a few times in that as well. She's like 31 in real life.

 

I meant Margery's age in the show.

Tyrion's reaction to it was fantastic, moreso than his anger I think.


Was getting really bored of the kings landing happenings until this episode. Actually the only storyline that isn't slightly boring me at the minute is the nights watch stuff which was missing this week.

Dinklage is superb, I also like Oberyn.. still pretty confused what counts as a spoiler in this thread? Are we okay to talk in depth about the most recent episode or...?

 

I reckon so, people seem to not be coming on the thread til they've watched the latest one anyway.

What an absolute corker of an episode. Dinklage was fantastic, the Stannis scene in the bank was pretty good, and it was great to see Daenerys actually brought down to Earth a bit and reconsider her 'holier than thou' attitude.

Must not talk about about the whole Reek bit then!!

 

As I may have said before. Changes are fine, omissions are fine (and needed), but completely changing important characters, well character is not! 

 

But to agree with everyone, the whole Lannister trial bit was fantastic! Especially as I know how and where it is going! So excited!

I forgot you are not allowed to have an opinion on here.

 

As previously stated changes are fine and understandable, personally I really like that they have developed Oberyn's character a lot more, it's a shame they didn't with the Mountain, and then just put in a gratuitous scene of him disembowelling weaklings (for fun?) was pretty poor, they could at least have showed him killing someone strong.

 

Anyway, I have stopped worrying about the book, because there is no way they can make the next series faithful to the books, there will be a lot of chopping and changing and combining story lines, as, by my calculation, in the book there are 16 storylines happening simultaneously and a lot of new characters introduced. But it will still annoy me when they add in some gratuitous sex/violence/torture when they could be adding depth to some of the characters that have been left out.

Is there a joke I missed about hot pie?

Enjoyed last nights episode. Enjoyed the tyrion and the dornish guy scene.

 

Phube watched the uncut version where Hot Pie and Brienne got it on...

Oh , a ft style snide comment lol. Well as a viewer that hasnt read the books, (yet) I think theyre doing well with the series. With these conversions you have to take some liberties.
