Jimmy Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Kasper 5 cus he had feck all to do but had some dodgy kicks Pelts 6 Morgan 7 SSL 7 Konchesky 7 Drinkwater 6 Bamba 8 MOTM Marshal 7 started brightly but faded second half Nugent 5 Dyer 6 PLEASE decide what you're going to do before you get the ball Beckford 5 Schlupp 5 seemed to have no idea where he was supposed to be playing Howard 5 usual Howard NP 5 got tactics and subs wrong second half for me
Saxondale Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Schmeichel 8 - Some better distribution, not much to do. Peltier 7 - Not bad, some good attacking positions St Ledger 9 - Superb Morgan 8 - Very solid Konchesky 8 - Good as ever Bamba - 7 Not doing a bad job in MF Drinkwater 7 - Good battling but perhaps lacks creativity Marshall 7 - Looked dangerous again Dyer 8 - Wasn't given space but still worked hard and looked our best attacking threat Nugent 6 - Lost Beckford 6 - Didn't get into it Schlupp 6 - Didn't really get an opportunity to do his thing Howard 4 - Didn't add what he should have Oops, Jimmy's beat me by two minutes. Please merge.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Schmeichel 7 Peltier 6 St Ledger 7 Morgan 7 Konchesky 7 Bamba - 7 Drinkwater 6 Marshall 7 Dyer 6 Nugent 5 Beckford 5 Schlupp 5 Howard 4
Libertine Dream Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Kasper-6 Peltier-6 Morgan-5 (dont understand how his distribution isnt analysed like Mills' was, he only ever half heartedly floats a ball forward) SSL-6 Konch-6 DD-7 Bamba-6 Marshall-7 Nugent-5(not a wide man) Dyer-5(should have buried his chance, may have been an entertaining game had it gone in) Beckford-5(looked more like the Beckford of old today)

LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Kasper 5 cus he had feck all to do but had some dodgy kicks Pelts 6 Morgan 7 SSL 7 Konchesky 7 Drinkwater 7 Bamba 8 made some stupid passes but altogether good game Marshal 7 Decent attempt first half but I don't know why we don't play him on the wing Nugent 6 Out of position again, Don't know why we cant have him up-front instead of beckford Dyer 6 Should of done better with his shot IMO Beckford 5 Didn't look bothered. Schlupp 5 Didn't look his usual self, didn't know what his role was even when he asked pearson Howard 5 won balls, chased down but no one helped him
shen Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 The ratings seem a bit generous to me. Obviously only watched it on the stream, but despite dominating the game, Forest, with their very limited forays, had the better chances overall. Konch and Pelts didn't do enough going forward. Bamba isn't a midfielder, but gave it a decent try. It also seemed obvious that our forward-thinking players lacked creativity and skill to get past their men or make any telling passes in the final third. Danns and Wellens were sorely missed today.
kingfox Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Schmeichel 6 - Nothing much to do better kicking this time Peltier 6 - Ok performance, not as good as Saturday though St Ledger 7 - Strong performance, some good tackles and a decent chance Morgan 7 - Looked comfortable all game Konchesky 6 - Consistent enough, could of got him involved more Marshall 6 - Not really in the game tonight, looked ok at times though Bamba 7 - Broke down plays well, good tackles few woeful passes Drinkwater 5 - Poor performance in my opinion, kept slowing everything down and playing backwards Dyer 6 - Some decent runs, but sometimes I forgot he was even playing Nugent 5 - Did absolutely nothing Beckford 4 - He has his good games and his bad games, tonight he was bad Subs - Don't deserve ratings

shen Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Not one of them earnt their wages tonight I don't think any of them lacked endeavour really, if that's what you're implying.
acooling08 Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Everyone a 5 or 6, except Marshall (7). Nigel - 4 - Wrong subs, wrong formation. Playing our top goalscorer (nuge) on the wing

This was both a local derby AND a must win game. I thought he looked very frustrated right from the off and was back to his former self of falling on his arse and moaning at the ref. He wasn't the only one though.. For a Derby game this was very very tame.
Bugg Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 The Beckford 'didn't look bothered' comment is alarming. This was both a local derby AND a must win game. I th It's bollocks, Beckford looked no more or less interested than any player on the pitch tonight.
Guesty Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Kasper 7, kept a clean sheet and his distribution was good. Give the back 4 all 7's because they were pretty solid and did their job. All midfielders a 6, apart from Dyer (7) even though he missed a good chance, he pretty much stopped a goal single handedly from on a 2 on 1 break from a corner. Beckford and Nugent and subs 4.5, did nothing.
halferowley2 Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 It's bollocks, Beckford looked no more or less interested than any player on the pitch tonight. It just seemed no one wanted to lose but couldn't be bothered to win. Active crowd but no emotion on the pitch 5's for the lot of them.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Kasper 8 Peltier 7 Ledge 9 (MOTM) Morgan 8 Konchesky 8 Bamba 8 Marshall 7 Drinkwater 6 Dyer 6 Nugent 7 Beckford 6 Schlupp 5 Howard 3 NP 5 - ineffective substations and lack of them IMO. Tactics were wrong and this was evident in the first half. No attempt to change
cc_star Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Kasper - 6 Pelts & Konch - 5 - Just average, didn't offer much going forward Morgan & SSL - 7 - Standard Drink - 6 - ok, still to find the form of when Barnsley thrashed us 2-1 Bamba - 5 - Not a midfield (or a defender) then Dyer - 7 - MotM our only threat Marshall - 6 - Good 1st half, weak 2nd Nugent - 4 - Lost out there Beckford - 5 - It didn't work for him NP - Played the creative formation which comfortably beat Hull but couldn't get past Forest's bus

I thought he looked very frustrated right from the off and was back to his former self of falling on his arse and moaning at the ref. He wasn't the only one though.. For a Derby game this was very very tame. He just looked for a foul on everything, we know he can out muscle them but he just doesn't try enough some games. He looked frustrated at the end from a stupid attempt at goal on the volley even though he could of helped the team out instead of trying a stupid attempt that even he know wouldn't score
Jimmy Posted 27 March 2012 Author Posted 27 March 2012 think he was trying to drive that across goal and just sliced it badly, Lynch and Chambers played well tonight and we didn't play enough through balls for him to run onto instead most were just high balls which even when he did win them there was no on around to pick up the flick, he is never going to be someone to hold the ball up
Dan Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Schmeichel - 7. Made a good save early on. Largely untested otherwise. Peltier - 7. Pretty decent game. Morgan - 7. Nothing really got past him or SSL. SSL - 7. See Morgan. Konchesky - 7. Did pretty well again, often up there to help attacks. Bamba - 7. His ball-winning was a huge difference to the usual for us, however he did like to ruin this with a shocking pass. Mixed feelings. Drinkwater - 5. Not at the races at all sadly. His worst display for us. Marshall - 7. Not bad to be fair, one of the few who seemed to try and make things happen. Dyer - 6. Good in parts, poor in others. Nugent - 5. Offered pretty much nothing, wasted out wide. Beckford - 5. Tries to be too cocky when we need it least. Offered nothing. Subs; Schlupp - 5. Didn't do anything of use. Howard - N/A

Beckfords was a fookin shot mate! It should have been a cross but wasn't. You are trying to defend the indefensible here and looking a plonker. No offence.
Alf Bentley Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Schmeichel 6.5 Little to do, did it fine Peltier 6 OK Morgan 6.5 Solid St. Ledger 6.5 Solid & mobile Konch 6.5 Usual decent effort Marshall 7 Some threat Bamba 7 Good interventions & runs, good passes...& not so good; decent effort out of position Drinkwater 6 Mixed bag; not bold enough Dyer 7 Some threat; good run of form Nugent 5 No threat; poor run of form (still player of season) Beckford 4 Yes, he's a natural goalscorer, but there are times when you have to do more than wait for someone to play you a perfectly timed through ball...a vital game against local rivals with senior players missing would be a good time to start, but no! He still wants to hang about waiting for that perfect pass, shrugging half-heartedly and failing to contribute: "Am I bovvered?" teenage narcissist personified...sell before he ruins next season for me with frustration! Forest 6 Organised & workmanlike, but offered little - looked like a team just avoiding relegation Atmosphere 3 Dead, after being so lively v. Hull as so little to inspire anyone

Refreshingly honest...
iancognito Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Kasper - 6 - had very little to do, decent block in the first half Peltier - 6 - Didn't get forward nearly enough. It's depressing to be pinned back by Andy Reid. Konchesky - 7 - Supported well but no end product when forward St Ledger - 6 - Looked a bit shaky Morgan - 7 - Solid, just solid. Bamba - 7 - Dominated midfield but his passing is terrible. Drinkwater - 6 - Too many loose passes Marshall - 7 - Probably the biggest threat in midfield Dyer - 7 - Should have scored in the first half when through, faded & subbed. Beckford - 5 - Another off day Nugent - 5 - Looked shattered after ten minutes, had a good chance blocked
