Dan Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 Booing? I thought they were going "Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeve"
Kitchandro Posted 28 March 2012 Posted 28 March 2012 He wasn't booed. It was people going "Steeeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvveeeee!" just like when we had Iain "Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmeeeeeee!" it sounds like booing but isn't. People say this to Howard when he come son every game. Ah that is why I don't remember any booing. I thought it was because I was wasted but yes that would be a logical explanation. Still doesn't excuse me not remembering the highlights that I saw this lunchtime.
Daggers Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 How the frig does Steeeeeve sound like boo? Maybe people think his nickname is Boo?
Finnegan Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Classic case of Joey Gudjonson-ism. Shit player practically worshipped because we couldn't get better, best of a bad bunch, etc. Has worked had for the club and deserves respect and not boos but the OP is the most over the top piece of tripe I've read in ages. Can't wait til we ship him out, bringing him on against Forest was a new low in terms of desperation.
Mack Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Maybe the fans were complaining about the tactical decision rather than the player? You know when Howard comes on it's hoof and hope time. Pantomime booing seems to be endemic in Football these days, I agree it's counter productive.
Bert Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Never boo our players. If we want to progress though, Howard isn't the way forward. Yes, he tries hard and shows the passion everyone wants to see. Bar one good season at League One level, he's been distinctly average for us. A good servant is someone like Muzzy Izzet, Matt Elliott or Steve Walsh.
SaM 12 Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 i didn't hear any booing just STEEEEEVEEE! when he came on.

I'd class them as club legends Bert, someone who did more than the norm for a club. A good servant, to me, is a player who's done well and given a service without being amazing.
AyewJoking Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 How long do you have to be at a club before you're entitled to a testimonial?
Happy Fox Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 The sooner he goes the better alongside Wellens, Gallagher etc but I am not getting my hopes us that this will happen.
Mack Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Probably because we only created 1 chance all game by knocking the ball around at a pedestrian pace. Because we were missing a driving force in midfield. Maybe this coming weekend people will appreciate what Wellens gives the team a little bit more.
Jimmy Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 You can thank Super Steve for this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUYqUoL0DmU 3 years ago mate, he's done **** all since
MrBojangly Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Does Howard visit this website? How will he read the letter?
muzzy1981 Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Shouldn't be booed and shouldn't be playing simple.

Can't wait til we ship him out, bringing him on against Forest was a new low in terms of desperation. Gudjonsson was a very decent player at the time. Would have been good for a lot of top Championship sides. Howard had his uses in our play-off season but he's been a league one player since he's been here. I have no ill feelings towards him, in fact I'll always love him for that goal aginst Leeds, can't see those celebrations being replicated any time soon. But there's no doubt he's no longer needed. Just time for him to move on.
BNET Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 I wouldn't mind him being a coach Stop it your killing me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 29 March 2012 Posted 29 March 2012 Because we were missing a driving force in midfield. Maybe this coming weekend people will appreciate what Wellens gives the team a little bit more. I agree and always believed Wellens is the only player in our side capable of playing a killer pass and opening up defenders, which is why he gives the ball away more than most, just most morons on here don't seem to recognise that. The sooner he goes the better alongside Wellens, Gallagher etc but I am not getting my hopes us that this will happen. Am I the only one bored to tears of the same old shit you post in every single thread, victimising any player you dislike and never saying a bad one against anyone else in our side?
