LCFCCHRIS Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Obviously he meant do you believe we really can not mathematically, so no need for sarcastic comments.
Vale Blue Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Although it kills me to say so, No, but I didn't think we'd win today, so here's hoping.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Can I shock everyone? If we win all of our games we might make the play-offs
MPH Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 I voted yes, but in many ways i would much prefer us to lose all 4 next games than to leave us hanging with one game to go and for us to lose out....
Larry_LCFC Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 I voted yes, but in many ways i would much prefer us to lose all 4 next games than to leave us hanging with one game to go and for us to lose out.... City Ground is that way ------> Goodbye.
MPH Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 City Ground is that way ------> Goodbye. its not the pain i cant cope with its the hope! for it then to be taken away
Larry_LCFC Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 its not the pain i cant cope with its the hope! for it then to be taken away As much as it would hurt to miss out at the end, you cant wish your team to lose. Its better to have had the joy of winning!
MPH Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 As much as it would hurt to miss out at the end, you cant wish your team to lose. Its better to have had the joy of winning! i never said i WISHED we would lose. just i would prefer that than the pain of missing out at the last game...
Guest shearfox Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 I voted yes, but in many ways i would much prefer us to lose all 4 next games than to leave us hanging with one game to go and for us to lose out.... If we miss out we miss out. Our form this year has been good and I'm optimistic that if we fail this time we can go into next season with a lot of positives. Pearson seems to have us heading back in the right direction.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 I don't think we will, but it's nice to end the season with something to play for. The very fact we're in with a shout having been so terrible for large parts of this season tells you everything you need to know about the quality of this league.

Our form this year has been good and I'm optimistic that if we fail this time we can go into next season with a lot of positives. Pearson seems to have us heading back in the right direction. I think what will irk me, is that there have clearly been games this season when we couldnt give a toss. or at least some of the players couldnt.... and if we end up missing out by the odd point or something i will be furious. Now sure there have been some games when we have just not been good enough but to me there is a fine line between not being good enough and players not giving a toss and some players have crossed that line. Im thinking specifically the early pearson days and you could say too the latter part of Sven's reign..... there always seems to be hope for the next season and its getting tiresome.
Ashley Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 I've said for some time now we will sneak in on the play-offs on goal difference. Shame we havent got Cardiff as one of our remaining fixtures.
foxes2011 Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 if we win every game im sure we would be in it but we wont be in it because weve not been good enough. To be honest i dont think we deserve to be id rather wait and reasemble in the summer. lets go up the proper way via the automatics next season with a new fresh looking nigel pearson team. give him money let him build his own side and we will at least make the playoffs for next year. we can make it but i know we wont for this year but im confident for the new season.
ScouseFox Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 Claridge says no, so we have a chance. That's boosted my confidence.
CKB Posted 9 April 2012 Posted 9 April 2012 We have to win 3 We cannot lose any We can afford at least 1 draw Will we do it? i'll get back to you on that one...
jonthefox Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Im not getting my hopes up. I'll just take it game by game, so i'll post on here after millwall.
AyewJoking Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 I've written us off since September but I'm starting to get my hopes up. Crazy season, we've managed back to back wins just twice but we're still within sniffing distance of the play-offs!
roachmachine Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 looking at the fixtures Brighton Cardiff, and Boro have, Brighton have to play 3 of the top 6, the other 2 have 1 each of the top 6 to play, so i would like to think its possible, but i just can't get passed the tendency we have of shooting ourselves in the foot, but i'm ever hopeful
stourbridgefox Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 There are many similarities with the 1996-97 season for me. It is fate that we will go up this season, without really deserving it, and stay up.
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 So in theory we need to all become Watford fans for the last few weeks. If they have a really good run in then that could help us massively
cecchini Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Its very possible. Not only will we make the playoffs, we will win! Our first year in the prem will be great!
shen Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 i never said i WISHED we would lose. just i would prefer that than the pain of missing out at the last game... Then again, going into the last game with something to play for will give the squad the belief that is necessary to mount a challenge next year. A lot of the players are also playing for their future at the club in these last four games. To avoid a huge clear out that would likely set us back a bit once again, I really hope we can push all the way and possibly lose out on the final day than fall flat on our faces with three games to go...
