mancunianfox Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Blackpool are hardly out of sight, don't think it is just 6th spot up for grabs.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 I'm going to stick my neck out here and say if we win ALL of our remaining games we might, might just make the playoffs. So **** you
Guest shearfox Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Blackpool are hardly out of sight, don't think it is just 6th spot up for grabs. Indeed Blackpool are only 5 ahead... It will be either us, Boro, Blackpool, Cardiff, Brighton... for those two places...
berniethebolt Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Fingers crossed - my thoughts are this. Millwall - Tough and are fighting the drop, a win is essential. Burnley - Nothing to play for, we have everything to play for so we should be more motivated. West Ham - Should be good for a playoff spot so may be resting key players for their playoff push, could give us an advantage Leeds - Nothing to play for, we have everything to play for so we should be more motivated. In saying this, one loss to any other side than West Ham and we are done.
foxes2011 Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 lets just wait for our next game if we overcome millwall we can carry this debate on but a loss or a draw and i think that is it to be honest so by saturday we wont be having this conversation can just imagine us losing to millwall who beat hull only last weekend.
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Even if we lost just the one we'd be in with a decent chance Cardiff would have to go out and get themselves 7 points from 12, Historically 70 points should see you in the play offs although I think 71-72 will probably be more like it this year. If we win all four we'll do it easily. I don't think we will as it seems to me every time we find ourselves in a half decent position we seem to screw it up, everyone thinks the play off dream is over, we go on a reasonable run, end up being slightly closer than we were before, everyone starts to believe again and we go and lose another game. In fact I can see us losing on Saturday beating Burnely and West Ham to put us back in contention for the last day and missing out on the last day which as annoying as it would be would sum up our season perfectly!
bluefox88 Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 sick of all the cynics on here, with that kind of mentality why should the boys play to win? Course we can bloody do it, and we will if we back the lads. Keep the faith and take your negativity somewhere else...

Reynard Bleu Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 This seasons inconsistent performances have cost us at least a play of place thus far, unless there has been some eureka moment in the players mental state then I fear we will come up short. I hope on hope that we make it, it would be wonderful season's climax. But we are where we are because we have blown it in game we should have realisically won. By all means rip me if I am wrong.
halferowley2 Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 My heart always says yes yes yes yes its what I want to happen - but my head keeps raising doubts - we played well against Ipswich (going nowhere this season) and doncaster (going to div 3) but quite often the opposition raise their game and make life difficult for us. But at the beginning of the season we were told we had strength in depth and when other teams are tired or suffering to many injuries we have a big enough squad to cope - I believed then I believe now.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 ive written us off since February regarding even the play-offs but i will gladly eat my words if they prove me wrong. Come on City
Vlad The Impaler Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 As much as I want us to make the play offs and be promoted, I think it will be a season too early for us, unfortunately. Pearson is building a very promising squad here and I think players such as Marshall, Drinkwater and Schlupp may need another season in the championship to develop more as players, instead of being on the bench more often than not in the premier league. Only players which come close to playing in the premier for me are Kasper, Konch, Bamba, King, Nuge, Beckford and MAYBE Danns/Marshall/Wellens. If we are looking to 'build a squad' as such, then I don't see how being promoted to the top flight will help us do that. I'm probably way off the mark with what i've just said, and the chances are we won't get promoted anyway.
21st Century Fox Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Playoffs? Definitely. Maybe. At least possibly.
m00nie Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 voted no... was one that said it was over before and still feel the same, even if it was just in our hands i feel we would struggle but were relying on other teams not winning also..
Super_horns Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 We'll try to help you guys out. Only trouble is we are actually better away from home but Brighton is the only away game we have with the other 2 at the Vic.
Leicester_Numan Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 I honestly do and have believed that we will make it. And if we make it surely we will win it being the form team with the strongest squad!! Looking at the run in, no team really has an advantage except brighton probably have a disadvantage with that awful run in!! For me Watford's form holds the key as most teams do play watford at some point!! I Believe I think it's Leeds that are the vital team as they play Blackpool, Cardiff and us. Can't imagine w....r Warnock doing us any favours though, but I BELIEVE
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Can we? Definitely. Will we? Millwall will answer that for me.
Socks Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 No... Although I think we will have a good run in, I think other results wont go our way its just too late goddamit
Corky Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 We'll try to help you guys out. Only trouble is we are actually better away from home but Brighton is the only away game we have with the other 2 at the Vic. Blimey, you could have a massive say in this.
lestajigs Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Brighton 0 reading 1....... A result going our way AGAIN!!
MGLCFC Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Millwall winning is good too as they are virtually safe now as Cov won't win 3 of their last 4 - Therefore hopefully Millwall will have little to play for on Saturday.
Legend_in_blue Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 I don't think we'll need to win all 4 games to make 6th place. The teams above us are just as inconsistent as we have been. If we can avoid defeat and get 2 wins and 2 draws from our final 4 games I think that'll be enough.
Corky Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 It's not just Cardiff we should be looking at. Blackpool are still, just about, catchable.
sdb Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 Great results tonight. Cardiff's fixtures look easiest. Win on Sat and I will get seriously excited for the first time in over a year.
