leicesterseddon Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 I don't think we'll need to win all 4 games to make 6th place. The teams above us are just as inconsistent as we have been. If we can avoid defeat and get 2 wins and 2 draws from our final 4 games I think that'll be enough. Not sure 2 wins and 2 draws will do it to be honest. Think it'll have to be 3 wins and a draw at least. Are we capable of doing it? Personally, I'm not sure. You highlight the fact that the teams above us are just as inconsitent as us - sure, that's an optimistic way of looking at things. But it does also highlight...well, our own inconstistency! Why should be expect to string together wins, and the others above us fall away? Perhaps they will. But my heart still says no on this one I'm afraid...

Looking at the run in, no team really has an advantage except brighton probably have a disadvantage with that awful run in!! For me Watford's form holds the key as most teams do play watford at some point!! I Believe You missed off Derby who are on 60 points, I think they are too far behind but they have to play Middlesborough (H), Cardiff (A) Portsmouth (A) & Peterborough (H), they will still be going for it and may spoil Middlesborough's & Cardiff's party, but obviously they will do it for themselves not as a favour for us. We have to get our own results before looking for other teams to do us a favour.

But I just don't think that is at all realistic, so I think we'll have to rely on other teams to help us out! The form of Watford, Derby and Westham is so important because those three teams make up the main bulk of final four fixtures for our main rivals! We can do this but we're going to need a little help from our friends!

Blackpool 12 points from the last 9 games, 7 points from the last 4 games. Cardiff 12 points from the last 9 games, 6 points from the last 4 games. Brighton 10 points from the last 9 games, 2 points from the last 4 games. Middlesborough 7 points from the last 9 games, 2 points from the last 4 games. Leicester 14 points from the last 9 games, 7 points from the last 4 games. Hull 8 points from the last 9 games, 3 points from the last 4 games. Derby 17 points from the last 9 games, 8 points from the last 4 games. Of these 7 teams we are second best, only Derby doing better so all the other 5 teams are right to be jittery! Derby have 3 top teams to play which leaves us to sneak in, Hoping the real Leicester turn up!

Hull are out of it, There supporters say they are playing their youth team in defence and have been on a terrible run so... Step up lads!
