With the exception of the likes of Wellens, King, Gally and Dyer none of them have really been here long enough for me form an attachment to, not in the ways say that Walshy, or Izzet, or May, or Lynex did.

I agree. Izzet will permanently be my Leicester City hero. The current lot are nowhere near making the kind of impression that Izzet, Walsh, Elliott, Heskey all made on the club.

But, for what it's worth for this poll, Kasper, Beckford and Danns would make my top 3, no specific order.

I don't have one. Kasper, Konch and Nugent seem to give their all whatever the circumstances but there have been too many disappointments in watching to develop favourites and the charisma or character that sets favourites apart from others seems to be missing in the current team. Davie Gibson, Frank Worthington, Derek Dougan, Ian King, Derek Hogg, Puffer Riley, Walshie, Marshall, Graham Cross, Lennie Glover, Colin Appleton, Frank McLintock etc were "favourites" - and we've no-one even nearly competing with that lot. Bamba's perhaps went closest to becoming something of a cult figure if not a favourite but he fast became a non-person with his departure for the African Cup.

Favourite player? Interesting because most of the players haven't been here long enough to become attached to with the exception of

Wellens, King, Gally, Dyer & Howard

Of the players who arrived this season, a sizeable number have played with a chip on their shoulder, only turning it on in the bigger games whilst the effort hasn't always been there in the 'lesser' games, this makes them a difficult bunch to like and in fact it's the signings that have been here the shortest of all (Marshall & Drinkwater) that look to be made of the stuff that makes them crowd favourites.

For me... Dyer, King, Wellens are all worthy of consideration, as is newer arrivals Nugent & Schmeichel and maybe Danns and Konch depending on his potential recent actions, next season I can see Schlupp & Marshall tearing it up, or at least I hope to

but I have to say, I really can't think of a favourite that's going to be up there with the Walshies of this world, so I'll just go with who I like

I quite like Wellens as a team player, he's always guiding others, directing, offering encouragement... He the only player at the club who's actually captain material

As an arrival this season including the summer and their impact since signing... Marshall, but over the longer term maybe King, or even Dyer for giving his all no matter what & on his day being unplayable

:dunno:
