Milky Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 Beat Charlton 4-1 this morning to win the league after Reading dropped points earlier in the day. Through to the play-offs now. Well done lads!
Raw Dykes Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 At least we won something this season! Can't be a bad thing for the future.
Father Ted Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 Well done to the lads but the same argument will come up again... how many of these lads will we bring through? In previous years when we've won the league, we've only brought the odd player through.
davieG Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 The last time we won the league and the play-offs only King & Gradel came through, Gradel's long gone and there's plenty that wish King would follow.
Raw Dykes Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 I don't suppose there are stats available to do with how often our academy players become top or 2nd division players, are there? Linekers and Heskeys will be pretty rare, but Mattocks and Stearmans must appear every few years, I'm guessing.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 Amazing achievement for the lads especially since they are the youngest group in that league hopefully bring some exciting talent through!!
Kitchandro Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 Well done to the lads but the same argument will come up again... how many of these lads will we bring through? In previous years when we've won the league, we've only brought the odd player through. Yep. This means nothing really.
jamesmilner Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 one of the goal scorers today (who is a good player) is being released , couldve been worth keeping for a look to see where he might/could go . charlton were here to win their league as well , so good result and performance . good luck in the playoffs lads !
SharpeFox Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 Good to hear. Shame we'll probably never see any of them in a first XI shirt.
Webbo Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 Schlupp and Hopper have both had game time this season. I think both More and Taft have made the bench this season too.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 God this place really is f**king negative at the moment isn't it? Well done boys.
unreachable Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 Well done. Pity the doom mongers can't stay clear of this thread.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 Schlupp and Hopper have both had game time this season. I think both More and Taft have made the bench this season too. Moore also started the Palace away game
Ashley Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 I've always asked the question why Leicester always do so well at youth level and hardly bring any talent through to the first team.... Well I found out the other day we play older players in the younger teams or something along them lines.

Dan Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 Good work from them, just hope that a few more can break through to the first team.
AKCJ Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 The last time we won the league and the play-offs only King & Gradel came through, Gradel's long gone and there's plenty that wish King would follow. Yeah, but if someone wanted to buy them they'd be looking at close to 10m for the pair.
Father Ted Posted 21 April 2012 Posted 21 April 2012 Well done. Pity the doom mongers can't stay clear of this thread. Evidently as you've posted in it.
