Aumski Posted 8 May 2012 Posted 8 May 2012 Havn't read all the posts however... Beckford was a goal scoring machine at leeds because they based the team around him and constantly played balls into him through channels/breaking the offside trap. King was never even 80% this season. Bamba's a decent dmc IMO. I'd rather see us sign bannan +/or colbeck from villa. We'd probs get grant hanley from blackburn (young cb, before anybody negativly judges remember hobbs when we had him under pearson?) Leaving, bleh. Howard, oakly, a cb either ssl or mills. Probs mills as ssl gets on with the squad better it seems. He'll get that fleetwood striker in though and maybe cairney from hull. Maybe somebody from man utd. I do think he'll get waghorn in with more games this season though so vasell could leave too.
Dan Posted 8 May 2012 Posted 8 May 2012 Want to see a team next season like.... Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - Chester - Konchesky Stewart - Derry - Danns - Marshall Nugent - Heskey Subs; New GK, Bamba, Drinkwater, Dyer, Vardy Squad players; Adam Smith, Peltier, SSL, Kennedy, Gallagher, Wellens, King, Waghorn, Schlupp Arguably be my first choice. You could have a bit of a squad rotation system there. I'd assume the signings would cost about.... De Laet £1mil Chester £1.8mil Stewart £1mil Derry £400k (Unsure really and I'm not sure how old he is but he always does a job at this level, always) Heskey £0 New GK (Loan/free) Vardy £750k
Dan Posted 8 May 2012 Posted 8 May 2012 That squad would surely be a good one, a solid defence, a hard-working midfield that wouldn't get completely over-ran like it does most bleeding games, two wingers who can play on either side and both have age on their side, and two hard-working forwards who'll contribute a lot, Heskey will probably get about 8/9 goals for us I'd guess but he'd be pivotal, I mean Steve Howard did a job for us and he hardly scored any really. That bench also offers a lot of players who can make a difference, the rest of the squad still posesses experience and youth who can all make a contribution.
Danno Posted 8 May 2012 Posted 8 May 2012 Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Chester Konch Stewart Koren Trotter Marshall Kane Nugent Bench: Weale Freeman Bamba Schlupp Heskey Drinkwater Danns Cm's all rotating

Dan Posted 8 May 2012 Posted 8 May 2012 Trotter does sound like the kind of midfielder we've been crying out for, for ages now, I've not particularly noticed him a lot but if he's the holding midfielder in a Millwall centre that's known for its scrappiness then I won't complain for one second. Also got age on his side and he's got a lot to prove too. If he's what you all claim he is then get him snapped up, the ideal signing.

Sounds like the player we need, think we need a strong scrappy midfielder to sit back and control the defence.

He was a striker in his school days and was handy in that position. I have always really rated him and think he is a fantastic all rounder. Id love to have him here to be honest. Would be a bit weird having an old school mate play for us though!

There are some talented horses out there. Bert, 4th official, you've got some real competition.
LCFC FOX Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 Kasper De Leat Chambers / Chester Morgan Koncheskey Marshall Drinkwater Danns Stewart Nugent Vardy / Kane INS: De Leat Chambers Chester Stewart Brady Kane Heskey Vardy OUT: (not including people who have already goen) Weale (250k) Mills (2mil) Bamba (2.5mil) King (3mil) Moussa (free) Beckford (2mil) Gallagher (1.5mil) Schlupp (loan) Hopper (loan) Any other youngsters who can get them selves out there on loan.
Heskey2011 Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 The club have put a £5m price tag on Schmeichel, according to the papers today. If big old bacon nose Peter Scmikes was a horse Casper would be worth twice that. Can't beat pedigree!

LCFC FOX Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 2.5 mill for Bamba and 1.5 for Gallagher? Yes there both good but I don't think either of them would go for more.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 Yes there both good but I don't think either of them would go for more. I doubt we'd get 1.5 mill for Gallagher!!! Bamba may go for about 1.5 tops I'd guess.
Simo86 Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 Yes there both good but I don't think either of them would go for more. More? I think he was hinting at less

Guy Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 Re the eavesdropping Norwich fan. Why would Man Utd let such a talent as that go though with their world famous "can't win anything with kids" forward vision? I suspect it's probably just the "beer talk" at such a four legged racing venue. I think rather like a Manc. predeessor at our club, maybe a season long loan (at best!) is in store for the boy....clue - he's Tom and he's quite Clever (ley)!
LCFC FOX Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 More? I think he was hinting at less maybe I wouldn't take anything less than 1million for Gally though because he can still be a good player. As for Bamba he can be the best defender in the championship when he has his good games
wimbotsham12 Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 sorry but i think you will find that im not bullshitting.he was with rooney in a hospitality tent next to mine and slightly worryingly for you guys at the end of our chat about his time at ncfc he said manure had "sold him to leicester. He didnt seem too enthusiastic about it or that he had too much choice.anyway time will tell.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 10 May 2012 Posted 10 May 2012 Would personally want around 9/10 players coming in during the summer get rid of the Deadwood and most of the extremely overpaid players: Players bring in: De Leat-RB-1M Gerrard-Cb-Free Chester-Cb-2M Fryers-Lb-Free Trotter-DM-£500,000 Koren/Murphy-Cm-1M/Free Brady-W-£750,00 Snodgrass-W-2-2.5M Heskey/Madine-Tm-Free/1M Vardy-St-£750,00 If we where to get these it would cost 8.5M-9.5M Players sold or already realised: Paintsil-RB-Free Tunchev-Cb-Free Bamba-Cb-2M Kennedy-Lb-£500,000 Wellens-Cm-£500,000 Gallagher-W-£750,000 Howard-Tm-Free Schlupp-St-Loan Hopper-St-Loan If we sold/Loan all these we would make 3.75M therefore all in all we would only be spending 5.75M which isn't to be in my eyes especially since it would also let us gain a hundreds of thousand of pounds just in wages!!!
