foxesfan1989 Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Why ? Well it would mean 10 midfielders at the club, that is too many surely. 8 means if you play 442 you have 2 sets of midfielders, more than enough.
ian the fox Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Maybe one or two dont figure in the plans as its been proven time & time again Well at least 4 are not promotion material
Bluetintedspecs Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 I personally feel we are making far too much of this "creative midfielder" business....... Danns Drinkwater and allegedly James can all pick a pass IMO and lets not forget the different outlets we are going to have with an abundance of blistering pace which will make the outlet ball far easier.

That's the spirit! Can't wait now for the opener. 'In Nige we Trust' has never been so true as it is this season... I have literally no idea whether we will be any good or not. Gonna be fascinating.

Can't back it up with anything more than I likethe look of the way the squad is shaping up and "I've got that feeling"
adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Honestly we don't need no more players, the team we got now is capable of destroying this league this year, lcfc fans will never be happy and always want more, So what we didn't get koren but my £100 bet today on Leicester winning the league is how confident I am of this !!!

I totally agree that it's going overboard saying we can destroy the league, but I can't see why you think the squad is worse than last season.

ian the fox Posted 9 August 2012 Posted 9 August 2012 Next seasons squad is improved in a much harder league Id say , but I will still be there :scarf:

I agree, except Danns which is a poor example as his ball retention is without a doubt the worst of our midfield.
Oadby Fox Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 Friday, August 10, 2012 ROBERT Koren is poised to hand Hull City a timely lift on the eve of the new season by putting pen to paper on a two-year deal today. The 31-year-old midfielder is understood to have agreed terms on a new and improved contract that will keep him at the KC Stadium until at least 2014. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-16686827-detail/story.html
Jimbo Posted 10 August 2012 Posted 10 August 2012 'the team we got now is capable of destroying this league this year'. Is this a joke? Some of our fans are deluded, our squad is worse than last season. How? The disappointing Mills has gone, The flambouyant but unreliable fans favourite Bamba has gone, The distinctly average Peltier has gone, Johnson who spent more time at weight wathcers meetings than he did training has gone, the stand out players that were Ball and Pantsil have gone. The only player we don't have now that I'd have kept from this time last year is Fernandes. We've kept the nucleus of the squad assembled last year (the ones worth keeping) Nugent, Beckford, St Ledger, Konchesky, Schmeichel and Danns and added a little bit more experience and a hell of a lot of youth, hunger and determination, as well as some flair and pace. So on what basis is this squad worse than last season? The only thing we're lacking right now is a centre back. Sven bought a squad of individuals, Nigel is buying a team, it's a big difference

I should point out that you need to build a team rather than buy one, but buying the right players is an excellent start, so I know what you are saying. Very positive so far, lets just hope that the actual 'team building' goes as well......
