Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 July 2012 Posted 29 July 2012 Ian Black is a bloody terrific signing for them. Hope they manage to get up to the SPL again soon as possible. Really like Rangers.
Guest Bilo Posted 29 July 2012 Posted 29 July 2012 They're going to blow Divisions 3 and 2 apart over the next two seasons. They might find it a bit heavier going in Division 1 if there are the likes of Hibs or other sizeable ex SPL clubs there by then, but I'd still be very surprised if they didn't go up the leagues back-to-back.
Bayfox Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 which players have rangers managed to hang onto? I see the reserve keeper has hung about and i think lee wallace said he was staying.
Jordan Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Carlos Bocanegra played yesterday. It's stunning to realize that Bocanegra, a current captain of a national team with over 100 caps to his name, is in a fourth-tier league. I do believe both his future and that of fellow American Alejandro Bedoya (who didn't feature yesterday) are still far from settled. Bedoya, who has fallen below a few other midfielders on Jurgen Klinsmann's depth chart, would do himself a big favor by looking for a new club.
Webbo Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Rangers could go undefeated in the league for 2 or 3 seasons.
Ross-Kemp Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Neil Alexander Lee Wallace Andrew little Lee McCulloch Dorin goian Kirk broadfoot Carlos bocanegra Alejandro bedoya All the above are still at the club.
Fox in the North Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 They could go undefeated, but I think as this summer has proven, a lot else could happen.
Simmo86 Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 Hopefully the Old Firm will be kept apart in the cups till Rangers are promoted back till the SPL. Will be a spicy little affair!
Guest Bilo Posted 30 July 2012 Posted 30 July 2012 No way will Rangers and Celtic go three years without any meetings, they're bound to meet in one of the cups before then. It's nailed on.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 Dean Shiels signs. Another good piece of business.
act smiley Posted 1 August 2012 Posted 1 August 2012 Another ridiculous piece of business more like - they could easily have got a First Division player for a fraction of the cost. They'll re-bankrupt themselves before they get to the SPL at this rate.
RedHux Posted 2 August 2012 Posted 2 August 2012 They could just reform again and wipe out the debts though so it doesn't really matter.
accessory Posted 3 August 2012 Author Posted 3 August 2012 True. But they'd have to wait another 3 years before playing in Europe again. People in Manchester and Barcelona will be overcome with grief at the thought of missing out on another visit from the hordes.

Vacamion Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 Commentary is in Gaelic as it was live on the BBC Alba channel I watched the last 15 minutes and the peno shoot out, after the Champs League was finished. As I've pointed out in other threads, there are more people in Scotland speaking Urdu or Polish than Gaelic, but they don't get their own Govt funded TV channel. All I could hear was what sounded to me like: "Na Hurnish. Na Murnish. Na Gurnish. Lee McCulloch..."
Bayfox Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Another ridiculous piece of business more like - they could easily have got a First Division player for a fraction of the cost. They'll re-bankrupt themselves before they get to the SPL at this rate. As off the 1st of Sept they have a 2 year transfer ban so they had to look at players who will get them out of at least 2 divisions.
act smiley Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 Its a 1 year ban so they can bring players in during January 2014 and there's a reason I said "First Division" not "Second Division", y'know? Surely the point to pick up on should be that yes, McCoist is indeed so terrible that they need players from eleventy divisions above to stand a chance in the bottom tier!
Jordan Posted 6 October 2012 Posted 6 October 2012 Rangers lost 1-0 away to last-place Stirling Albion (whose manager missed the game because he was at his own wedding) today. That has to be one of the biggest head-scratching results so far this season, even accounting for Rangers' transfer embargo.
accessory Posted 7 October 2012 Author Posted 7 October 2012 Stirling were bottom of the entire league. The Sevco supporters are not happy! As the home side are known as the "Beanos", one Scottish fans' website has the headline "Beanos Roger The Dodgers".
