Great goal from Ricky Lambert with that free kick. Would be all over the media if it was a 'bigger' player.

Would like to see boring Stoke go down as well, and they arn't out of it at all. Pleased for Wigan, on the other hand, hope they stay up.

Liverpool are so so so poor. Can't pass (the manager who invented passing......) cant mark... cant cross (mainly down to downing.)

Couthinho and Suarez only shining lights, they need a big big clear out. Why sturridge isn't playing ahead of Downing is beyond me.

Whoever plays right back for Aston Villa should not be allowed near a football pitch ever again

No worse than the absolute idiot that plays right back for the other team who happens to be an England international...

Are you completely mental? Coutinho played for 75 minutes without being challenged or even having a defender on the same side of the pitch as him, and it led to one goal and should definitely have been another.

There was a half hour spell where Liverpool continually broke and were 3 on the 2 cbs every single time. For a team to go away from home, not play particularly well and still manage about 25 shots shows quite how bad the opposition defence is.

Johnson on the other hand has had a pretty good game. Solid at the back and contributing a lot going forward (again because Aston Villa don't seem to have any defenders or players anywhere).

Im talking about the season as a whole mate, as I was with my comment on Liverpools performance on the last page.

Oh haha, fair enough then, apologies. Thought you were trying to say Johnson was as bad as this Aston Villa defence, was gonna say!

There's signs with Liverpool though. If they get in a quality centre back and a winger they'll be a pretty good team. Once Suarez leaves and Gerrard officially gets to old in a year or so they might be well and truly fúcked, mind.

No not at all... I have more pitty for the Villa defence than anything else. Lowton has gone from League one to the Prem and started every single game, even if he hasn't played that well that's still some achievement.

I've just been disappointed with Johnsons performances for Club and Country this season, and i'm still frustrated walker didn't play the other night lol!

Once again Liverpool helped out by the ref second half, same old Villa always awful second half!

How? By giving a blatant penalty?

Posted

It was the most obvious penalty ever. Only other decision that I can remember going against Villa was Benteke's offside, and again he was about 3 yards off.

On the other hand arguing the case, playing devils advocate, I hope people see how petty certain people look when blaming the ref when Leicester lose.

Leicesterpool doesn't have a leg to stand on, from what I saw the referee made good decisions, but people would no doubt be saying similar if the same things happened in a Leicester game.

I can't think of anyone in their right mind who would claim that wasn't a foul, whether it was for Leicester, against Leicester or just a random game.

I'd say the same about Morgan's foul on Friday yet some people have argued against it.

I think you are going over the top Matt, we do criticise referees but most obvious decisions are accepted on the forum.

Exactly. What started out as a valid point has led to him becoming a parody of himself.
