Corky Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Two wonderful goals, Remy's was outstanding and Maloney's in the most crucial of times.
Leicesterpool Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Wigan are so jammy, we'll that's about curtains for QPR I can't imagine horrible Arry wanting to manage in the championship, I won't be surprised if he ends up back at West Ham next season. Also I've just completed this
Samilktray Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Who wants to sit and watch a 15 minute video about a day trip to the Britannia Stadium
Leicesterpool Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Who wants to sit and watch a 15 minute video about a day trip to the Britannia Stadium Well its up u to some people might and some people won't
Fox92 Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 You went to the Villa game yesterday then Leicesterpool? Villa end looked mental when they scored... Hope Stoke go down.
Leicesterpool Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 You went to the Villa game yesterday then Leicesterpool? Villa end looked mental when they scored... Hope Stoke go down. Yeah I did, it was a cracking atmopshere, Stoke fans we're mainly quiet. People say Villa play boring footy but looking at Stoke, my god if you say Villa are boring then you haven't seen Stoke play.

Stoke must be the most boring club in the division, especially considering their style of play. It's a wonder Stoke fans arn't bored of it by now. Villa looked good on Match of the Day, I'm only watching the highlights with that (obviously), but it looked like Villa could have been two or three up before scoring the first.
Corky Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Stoke's run-in: Saracens (H) Harlequins (A) London Irish (H) Wasps (A) How many points from those?

StanSP Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 How did Spurs do without Bale today? I only saw the last 20 minutes which was fairly decent. All I watched as well. Seemed pretty frenetic and end-to-end!
Super_horns Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Day of late goals! Newcastle saved themselves whilst QPR summed up their season in that last 5 minutes. Great one minute but totally hopeless at the end.
StanSP Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Zamora and Holt top the lot, though. Luckily 1 of them was punished correctly.
Jaspa Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 From the MOTD2 highlights it looked like QPR were actively trying to injure Wigan players. But what a goal from Remy, I used to go for contact with the ball like that and its rare to see top players shoot with that technique but what a finish. No matter who comes down into The Championship for next season, its going to be a very, very tough league
Kitchandro Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Hansen was showing his senility once again trying to suggest Remy's goal was better than Lowton's.
Uncle Albert Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Lowton's goal is the goal of the season, I didn't think anything would beat Suarez v Newcastle but that was something else! Shocking performance from the Redmen yesterday, was like Liverpool of last season, keep the ball but not convert it into goals. Allardyce made himself look a tool yet again in his post match interview, he is picked right from Fergusons arsehole.
AdamN Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Hansen was showing his senility once again trying to suggest Remy's goal was better than Lowton's. Depends on how you look at it. Lowton's was more spectacular due to the distance involved, but the technique Remy showed was absolutely superb. I don't think I've ever seen such a sweet strike of the ball with a side footer. Both were fantastic goals.

I don't think I've ever seen such a sweet strike of the ball with a side footer. Both were fantastic goals. Nah, come on. Lowton's technique wasn't superb? For me, Remy's was a good break away and a very nice finish. It's hardly the wonder goal people are making out though.
StanSP Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Lowton > Remy. The technique by Lowton is exquisite. Also have to bear in mind the perfect chest control and 2 onrushing Stoke players which would have held some distraction. You kind of expect it from Remy given his reputation before and during signing for QPR. Did many people expect Lowton to score like that? I don't think so. Not to play down Remy's quality goal at all - it was great - but Lowton's required more effort and precision for me than a striker countering and shooting from 20ish yards out.
ScouseFox Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Lowton's is the best goal I've seen since Gally vs Palace. It was fúcking special. Remy's was nice to watch but hardly a wonder goal. A sidefoot finish from the edge of the area. I could do that.
Fox92 Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Nah, come on. Lowton's technique wasn't superb? Yeah it was. Kept his eye on the ball, but more importantly, kept his knee over. Didn't expect it from Lowton, but on Motd, they showed him doing the same thing against Swansea. No goalkeeper in the World would have had a chance, great goal, and a front-runner for goal of the season.

It's hardly the wonder goal people are making out though. Oh, of course it was, but I genuinely think I'd have a harder time replicating Remy's goal (on the end of an 80 yard run) than I would Lowton's. Maybe that's just me. I don't wanna get into an argument about this though, as it's all down to personal preference. As I said, both were excellent.
Leicesterpool Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 You don't see many right backs score goals like that! I notice how the BBC don't like to award things to midland clubs.
