purpleronnie Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Had a tenner with my mate on Utd, easiest money I'll ever make. He was adamant Arsenal would win, no chance! My dad said both teams to score, I said nah arsenal wont score.....piggin 90th minute goal.
Jimothy Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Agreed to an extent but Diaby is more of a box to box, Neil Danns type of player. Song just specifically sat in front of the back 4 and controlled games from there. I rate Diaby massively though I think he wanted to change Diaby's style. Sort of like the role Ramires plays for Chelsea now. Sitting for the most part of the game, but let free to attack when Chelsea are really on top. I think he's more suited to that role than Arteta. As good a Arteta is, and he's fantastic player, he isn't s defensive midfielder. He's disciplined, so he'll do the job the best he can, but it's not for him.
AKCJ Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Wasn't Neville booked for diving? - http://www.liverpool...00252-32120259/ Seems to me the solution to the diving problem lies in the hands of clubs and in particular managers they know when their players are diving and if the don't like it in the game then stop their own players first. There's little point in relying on refs to solve it as they're bound to get it wrong half the time other than the most blatant of dives. Pot calling the kettle black springs to mind - can I use that? Did you see Neville's 'dive'? Pretty hilarious decision. I thought Wilshere was excellent. His passing and his movement is Barca standard IMO.
Danizen Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Wenger said that he didn't see Wilshere's foul (that old chesnut) and said that he'll have to watch the game. He's just had the best seat in the fooking house, for God's sake.

Jimothy Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 I've said it time and time again, Wenger is quoted as saying he uses the line he didn't see an incident to stop himself saying something he might regret. If he says he didn't see it, it'll be left at that, if he says what he really feels he'll end up getting a fine.
Tielemans63 Posted 3 November 2012 Posted 3 November 2012 Man City looking pretty shite at Upton Park. Have to say I love watching games on Fox Soccer - the pundits in the studio are far more interesting and entertaining than anything British broadcasters can muster. Eric Wynalda: "City not at the races today. I think West Ham will take this one. It's Hammer time!" Awesome

Fox92 Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 Don't know how you can hate Arsenal. They play the best way, how football should be played, and are just fantastic to watch.. Just watching Liverpool now. Gerrard presented with a trophy, this is his 600th game for Liverpool; just fantastic. Loyalty.
purpleronnie Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 Fantastic loyalty playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world and getting paid a fortune.
marko Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 Don't know how you can hate Arsenal. They play the best way, how football should be played, and are just fantastic to watch. Maybe a few years' ago, but I'm not sure it's true anymore. They certainly don't have anywhere near like the imagination and swagger they used to play with.
Fox92 Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 Fantastic loyalty playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world and getting paid a fortune. But he could have left ages ago for any side; especially when he had interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid. Maybe a few years' ago, but I'm not sure it's true anymore. They certainly don't have anywhere near like the imagination and swagger they used to play with. I still think they are entertaining to watch. The only thing that isn't as effective anymore is the counter, with the likes of Henry, Bergkamp, Overmars, Pires etc. But I think the Arsenal team of 10 years ago, or whenever, is still the best/my favourite to watch; Vieira, Petit, Bergkamp, Henry etc
purpleronnie Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 But he could have left ages ago for any side; especially when he had interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid. Loyalty or lack of ambition...or doesn't want to step out of his comfort zone...loyality maybe ....but its impossible to say.
Tielemans63 Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 Let's all laugh at QPR. I wonder how many City fans are glad we didn't get Hughes after all!? I'll be honest, I was quite keen on the prospect of Sparky at City but I'm really relieved he didn't come here - seems increasingly though he's a bit of pretender. Did a reasonabe job at Blackburn but other than that?
sdb Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 Fantastic loyalty playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world and getting paid a fortune. Pretty keen on joining Cheski at one point too which people tend to forget. Wish we had someone like that mind (who's that good obviously)

It's really only the last month or two i've seen how wrong I was!
Father Ted Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 Have to agree with Fox92.. how can people hate Arsenal? I'd say they're the most likeable side out of the top 6 lot. Have a good footballing philosophy and sound financial background. Fair play to them and Wenger.
Haydos Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 Loyalty or lack of ambition...or doesn't want to step out of his comfort zone...loyality maybe ....but its impossible to say. God you're a downer.
Haydos Posted 4 November 2012 Posted 4 November 2012 why's that? The general cynical attitude. The fact that you had a go at RVP leaving and Gerrard staying. It just comes across as miserable.

Have a good footballing philosophy and sound financial background. Fair play to them and Wenger. I'm not a fan because of Wenger's incessant moaning and their 'hard done by' mentality - Wilshire red card yesterday being a prime example. Everton are the team I admire and respect most in the Premier League.

I guess I am a little cynical I'd admit that but I do find it odd some of the praise banded around. I'm not miserble though, far from it. Guess that shows you cant judge someone on a football forum....who'd of thought.
