marko Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Never offside, but I think Coates was climbing all over the defender. I think they got the correct decision but for the wrong reason.
Corky Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 The angle Sky showed after the game saw the linesman not put his flag up until well after the ball had hit the net. Never offside.
Jimothy Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 The angle Sky showed after the game saw the linesman not put his flag up until well after the ball had hit the net. Never offside. Like Gary Neville said he bottled it. I'm not a huge fan if Liverpool, but I'm even less a fan of useless officials, so I hope he gets a bollocking for that.
Corky Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 I know, can't stand Suarez but he was hard done by there. Given the lateness of the flagging you couldn't even say it was for a possible foul by Coates.
Fox92 Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 We all know Suarez is a ****, but having a go at Sterling there for taking the shot on was pathetic. Like that goofy twat wouldn't have shot, and probably missed, in the same situation, he's the most selfish footballer in history. I like Suarez. Apart from the racist thing, he isn't ever in the news for beating people up, smoking or doing whatever. Just keeps himself to his family off of the pitch. I like that. And I would have told Sterling to pass as well, Howard came out and I think there was an Everton player on the line. Could have been a Liverpool goal.
Leicfox Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Really? He look level to me. Unless it was ruled out for a foul, it was never offside. I thought he gave a foul for the Liverpool player climbing all over the defender for the header across the goal.

Just keeps himself to his family off of the pitch. I like that. And I would have told Sterling to pass as well, Howard came out and I think there was an Everton player on the line. Could have been a Liverpool goal. Hmmmm but then later on Suarez got into the box, had a impossible angle to score, and Sterling to square to and what did he do? He tried to score. Suarez is extremely selfish when in and around the box. I know that's a good trait in a striker at times, but not all the time. And Suarez's scoring record for the chances he has hardly make his selfishness justified. He's hardly Demba Ba or RVP in the scoring stakes. So for him to lay into Sterling for not passing when one on one is a tad rich. Maybe if he was more aware of his team mates he might have a leg to stand on, but as he doesn't he's a bit hypocritical.
Jimothy Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 I thought he gave a foul for the Liverpool player climbing all over the defender for the header across the goal. Apparently it was definitely for offside.
Finnegan Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 ffs . Can't find a good sopcast link so I've spent ages farting around trying to get StreamTorrent downloaded and working and it's 2 - 0 already!!

Guest ttfn Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Fernando Torres looks like he's playing in a different match to the rest of the Chelsea defenders. 90% of the decisions he's making are the wrong ones.
Jimothy Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Niall Quinn has just said RVP has improved since he moved to Man Utd!?!?! How is that even possible? He's been there, what, 9 weeks? It's simply not possible to be able to notice if a player has improved over such a short period of time! Give it a season and then we can see if he's been as effective for Man Utd as he was for Arsenal. I remember someone on here, Bert I think, saying Ashley Young had improved in mid August last year after moving to Man Utd, and look him now, actually think he's half the player he was at Villa. Players might look a little better because they are surrounded by better players but you really can't say that soon after moving to a new club they improved significantly as a player.
Bugg Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Chelsea vs Manchester United is a brilliant game at the moment, let's hope the second half is this good.
Grey Fox Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Chelsea can still win this. Looks like there will be more goals from someone at least. Great game so far.
marko Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 2-2 Brilliant bit of skill by Mata to keep the ball alive.
Fox92 Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 lol Chelsea down to 9 men, Torres just been sent off.
martyn Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Poor decision, Evans caught him on the right leg.
marko Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Not convinced that was a dive by any means. Certainly looked as though Evans caught Torres' shin.
Matt Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Well Torres shouldn't be off lets put it that way, It surprised me a little. However let's just say it's a message going out too all those players who have reputation of diving and going down too easy going before their name.
Tom17LCFC Posted 28 October 2012 Posted 28 October 2012 Definite second yellow for me. He took a heavy touch, realised he'd lost the ball and went down. Yanited should go on to win this now.
