For some reason Knockaert's not in the game, but I've still got Bamba so I'm not too upset. Vichai actually gives you a decent amount of money to spend, even so I've been more careful with it than I usually am. Transfers so far: Shaun Cummings - 1.4m Eric Djemba-Djemba - 0.625m Zeki Fryers - Loan Adam Clayton - 2.4m Kenny McLean - 0.925m James Forrest - 3.3m For a total of 8.75m, which I don't think's too bad for 5 permanent signings. I haven't managed to sell anyone yet - for some reason every player I try to sell only gets loan offers, but I'm hoping to recoup a decent sum of that eventually. Then again my signings could be total gash - I'm 4 games into the season and my only win was a 2-1 comeback against a L2 side in the cup. Every other match has been a draw(vs Leeds, M'wall and West Ham).
Fox92 Posted 31 March 2013 Posted 31 March 2013 Keeps crashing on me. Drew with Cardiff (who are 2nd, I'm 1st) the game crashed. Loaded it back up, beat them, it crashed again. So frustrating now, ffs.
Ozwin Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 Yeah my brother keeps getting crash dump errors so he can't play. Proper annoying. It happened on his last laptop and now it happens on his new one. Makes no sense cos it never happens to me. Any way to fix this? I delete the crash dumps folder when it appears but it always comes back. He can't have a crack at a decent save cos it always comes up.

FMC doesn't have the draft does it? Now I feel like a ****. I started as Toronto on a main game last night. Half way through the season so I didn't have to twat about with January through July again. I've got it in my head now that I need to do a SuperDraft.

Is it like proper old school CM (e.g. CM2), later times (CM 01/02), or a few years ago (FM07...08 sort of thing)? Also, any good, young cheap players for a lowly Prem side? Think i'm gonna play as Stoke for some reason. Can't face LCFC at the mo. Ta.

sdb Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Cruised my 1st season as Newcastle. Finished 3rd playing a 4-3-3. Didn't really do a lot. Ben Arfa went instantly. Got £23mill for him though. Got Sterling and D Fletcher on loan. Cisse and Cabaye scored loads. Collicini and Kruhl excelled at the back. Felt a bit too easy really. How can I manage my friendlies? Someone's already organised 7 for me within about 3 weeks and I can't cancel them. Any good £2-3 mill signings in the second summer?
leicester4life Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Team > Staff Responsibilities 3rd Season with City, 2nd season in the PL went much better than the first, I won the League cup; Despite the possesion stat, all the highlights were one way. The league season I finished strongly after switching to a 3-5-2 for the League Cup final and sticking to it thereafter, I am MON. Pleased about putting 7 past Naaaaaaaaaaaarich, having never beaten them before. Not too bad a result with the league finish, record after the final really propelled me up the table; Thought I'd bring in some new faces and splash a bit of cash, and push on and qualify for Europe in the league; Altidore hasn't proven so bad a signing so far; This is the MON 3-5-2 I'm using, and my first XI Not too shabby really
Dan Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 Wow I am so amazing at this game, so amazing that I'm only 4 down at Leverkusen by half-time in my opener with Bremen. Seriously, what the hell do I do so wrong at this? I know a lot of you get stuck but it's so hard. Lost 4-1. Stats actually made us out to be the better side, to be honest I think I was quite unlucky and I think I made a huge mistake by not unticking offside trap, not a fan of that in the slightest. Pretty hard with these though, not got a decent left back and the right back Gebre Selassie, class going forward but hasn't got a clue how to defend. Centre halves such as Sokratis (4.5, what a joke) and Prodl shouldn't get absolutely destroyed like they did. Oh just another thing, really bugging me - you know when you get a player moaning to you about his training schedule being so high, how do you put him on an average workload? So annoying how they've re-done all the training, I'd just mastered how to use the old one properly.

Fox92 Posted 6 April 2013 Posted 6 April 2013 Got Fulham promoted back to the Premier League at the first time of asking. Finished 2nd, runners-up to Derby, by one point. Towards the end of the season, the club got into financial difficulty (they were when I joined, so I had to get rid of the likes of Berbatov, Hangeland etc). Anyway, I'm in the summer and we've still got financial trouble.. I've had to sell two of my best players, that's Granit Xhaka (£10million) and Alexander Kacaniklic (£14.25million) so I think my first season in the Premier League might be even more difficult.

Struggling compared to last season letting on more goals for some reason. Still third with games in hand though. Won everything possible except league cup made a final and that's it. Wont be winning the CL three times on a row either. Only just got out of an easy group thanks to shoddy defending.

Got an impressive point at Bayern and have still only failed to win in two home games, with an improving away form. Maybe it's just me and Leicester fifth would be a strong finish for a side with a budget of under £1mil. Although sold a couple and agreed to sign Alen Halilovic for £1mil & Claudemir for £1.5mil. Looking now at Lucas Romero and an absolute CLASS looking forward, Neal Maupay although I'm pretty certain he's been signed by 99% of you. He is sheer brilliance.

Two years in with Leicester and my strike force is Eto'o and Berbatov, who is on a 3 year 90k a week match highest earner contract. Safe to say the rest of my team is mediocre as my wage bill is mostly gone on my old players. Knockaert has been phenomenal each season, also got 12 mil for Chris Wood from Spartak or someone like that even though I rarely played him.

Have had three or four campaigns (with mostly decent championship teams) where I have a blistering start in the first 5-10 games (usually end up being 2nd/1st), followed by a spell of average form (usually a series of draws) and then a TERRIBLE downturn around November time which usually sees me plummit to mid table and eventually the sack. I feel like I've tried everything when the form starts to wobble; change of formation/style, being more leniant/expectant in team talks, letting the first team thrash a reserve side for a game to boost morale etc Makes me want to stop playing the game at the minute because I just can't seem to prevent this from happening. Any advice anyone?

You'll create less chances, might lose the odd tight game, but you'd win more games because of the greater quality. How's morale in the team?

Well over the different campaigns I've tried leaving the formation as it is, tweaking it, and trying a different one. When I stopped winning I've tried to tighten it up and play defensive and rigid, I've also tried to go the other way and play attacking and press the other teams. Morale is obviously really good when we start winning at the beginning and gradually worsens with the performances. The main thing I thought I was doing wrong was not warning them of complacency enough in media/team talks when we were winning games but in the middlesborough campaign I'm currently playing I made sure that I didn't do that and the same thing happened. The other thing was maybe the worse weather conditions as winter comes means I need to play more direct/pump ball into box etc but still the same thing seems to happen! Really have ran out of ideas now. I've started with decent champ teams (leeds, middleboro) and average ones (millwall, charlton) and the EXACT SAME thing happens, can't get my head round it.
