Jfox Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 How has Max Clayton faired on yours? He was average in league 1 and championship getting an average rating of about 7.00, I thne sold him to Swansea for 6 Million and he has rarely played for the last few seasons for them
AjcW Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 need a forward for newcastle any ideas??? Here's a tip, dont sell Cisse like i did, think i've just committed managerial suicide in season three... oh well at least im england manager too... I signed Babacar and a south korean lad.. oh and charlie austin... im not quite sure what was wrong with me in the summer window, pretty much thrown away all the hard work I put into the first two seasons
Dan Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Fvck it. Started as Leicester, this will only end badly.
Des. Posted 17 March 2013 Posted 17 March 2013 Not in charge of Leicester on my game, however this is how they have progressed. The year is 2016 and Nigel Pearson is still in charge. 2012/13 Season 2013/14 Season 2014/15 Season 2015/16 Season
Dan Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 I swear it is impossible to go unbeaten for more than 5 games. On the plus side Chris Wood is fvcking outrageous.

Wonder how many people would take this in real life: Obviously they'd need to employ me in 2030 to achieve this Next few seasons might swing the balance:
Dan Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Doing utter shite and as soon as I win a game it crashes. Not bothering anymore, don't like the lay-out, cannot get used to any new feature and I'm quite frankly awful at it. Back to 11. I have a question here. I've got a player called Eduardo, he's a left back, aged 23 and I rate him very highly, so highly that in-fact I actually want him in my England squad as he is uncapped by the Brazil first team (although has been named in squads). I'm managing both Leicester & England and he's got dual nationality, but isn't eligible to play for England, why?
Brainy Posted 20 March 2013 Posted 20 March 2013 Into 2039 now, moving into the new 93,000 capacity Beckenbauer Park in the summer. Got a quality team at Bayern and have stormed the league the past two seasons.

Jonny Chee Posted 20 March 2013 Posted 20 March 2013 Finally sat down and played a season on FM13. Finished 3rd with LCFC and got promoted via the play offs, beating Blackburn 4-3 after extra time. Was 3-0 up after 20 minutes. Then went to pieces and they pulled it back to 3-3 and were all over us for while. After 117 minutes, Knockaert scores a beauty of a free kick, in off the bar to clinch promotion. Happy days! I always disable transfers until January and was expecting to get something to spend when the window opened. NOPE. We were losing so much money, the board refused to give me anything. I got rid of Waghorn for free, just to get him off the wage bill - he is awful. The only signing I made was Conor Clifford on a free (for added realism). Player of the season was Zak Whitbread. Chris Wood was a goal machine until he got injured for 4 months. Wes Brown also a beast - he also got injured for 4 months. I should have finished 2nd but went through an awful patch and couldn't capitalise on Cardiff (who were 2nd) also being shite. Just got through pre-season in the Prem. Got £11m to spend and haven't really touched it yet. Just landed some good free transfers and a loan. Managed to get rid of Beckford and Danns too, though I have to pay a small amount of their wages. My team for the start of the season: GK: Kasper Schmeichel RB: Richie De Laet LB: Paul Konchesky CB: Kolo Toure (free transfer - for 1 season - cheap wages too!) CB: Wes Morgan CM: McDonald Mariga (free transfer) CM: Glen Whelan (free transfer) AMR: Ben Marshall AML: Marcelo Estigarribia (free transfer) AMC: Anthony Knockaert ST: Chris Wood Subs: GK: Colin Doyle (free transfer) LB: Goran Popov (loan) CB: Zak Whibread CM: Matty James AMC: Andy King AML: Lloyd Dyer ST: David Nugent Got some decent kids and reserves in too. I reckon I can just about avoid the drop....
Lamby Posted 20 March 2013 Posted 20 March 2013 Started a game with Villa, these are my fixtures in a row, Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea
Rusko187 Posted 20 March 2013 Posted 20 March 2013 Why am I crap at this game? Is there any beginner tutorial sites to help guide me to a winning start?
shen Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 Doing utter shite and as soon as I win a game it crashes. Because he's currently travelling with the Brazil squad and been called up by them before you did?
Dan Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 So once Brazil call him up, even if he doesn't play (which he still hasn't), does that mean he can never play for England?
shen Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 So once Brazil call him up, even if he doesn't play (which he still hasn't), does that mean he can never play for England? No, if you see his status it says 'travelling with the Brazil squad'. He seems pleased about it, and if you look at his personal info, it probably says he would 'only consider a call up from Brazil at this stage' or something.
Brainy Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 3 years down the line at Bayern now, conceded last minute goal to Inter in the CL SF's to lose on agg. 3-2. Only won the First Division twice (2/3) and the Super Cup once. (1/3). Not won the German cup yet. Bit of a failure really but the team I have now is the best i've assembled in all of my 27 years of management . Only want to win the CL now, it's bugging me. Also nice to see that Sparta Prague have continued to improve since i've left them, as has the stature of the Czech First Division
Dan Posted 21 March 2013 Posted 21 March 2013 AT LAST. Eduardo is FINALLY playing for the boys in white. ...................................................
leicester4life Posted 22 March 2013 Posted 22 March 2013 Finally started to enjoy the game after the january update. Started as Leicester and decided to ditch the 4-2-3-1 that I've been using for the past 3/4 years and opted for a narrow 4-3-1-2. In came Pieter-Jan Monteyne at left back for 825k from Mons, Javier Casquero in midfield on a free, Michael Almeback at centre half for 425k from Brugge, Darren Pratley on loan. Joined by Danny Simpson for 525k in January as well as James McArthur on loan. Won the Championship at a canter with 94 points. First season in the Premiership, McArthur was made permanent for 3.2mil, Joe Ledley arrived on loan.Couple of bit part signings on frees and loans just for depth. Got a couple of wonderkids too, both 5*, centre half from Plymouth for £80k and a forward/winger from the Czech Rep for 1m. January rolls up and as I'm sitting bottom, I decide to go for broke; Mauro Formica (loan), Keisuke Honda (free), Simao (free), Christian Chivu (loan) Javier Garrido (loan). Currently got 34 games played, everyone around me has played 35 and I'm sitting 17th. Table looks like; West Brom 40 Stoke 38 Swansea 35 Villa 35 Me 32 -------- Wolves 32 Reading 32 Fulham (dead and buried, 7 points from safety) Last 4 games are Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarich (A) Gooners (H) Hull (A) Wolves (A) Lost the earlier games against Naaaaaaaaaaaaaarich, Hull and Wolves but beat Arsenal at the Emirates. 4 games to save my skin now, and then hopefully strengthen a piss poor side in the summer.
AjcW Posted 23 March 2013 Posted 23 March 2013 The cost of players as this game progresses is an absolute joke
FoxLAD Posted 23 March 2013 Posted 23 March 2013 The cost of players as this game progresses is an absolute joke This. The players wages are just as bad! but i suppose that's how it is in real life.
General Smuts Posted 23 March 2013 Posted 23 March 2013 Started as Toronto in the MLS in the update and because it's already been in real life you don't get the MLS Superdraft. Boooo.
Fox92 Posted 24 March 2013 Posted 24 March 2013 Finished my Rangers season. Second in the SPL, but never lost to Celtic at all. In four years, I managed to win division three, two and one and then finish second in the SPL, as well as winning two Scottish Cup's. Not that difficult giving Rangers' quality, but proud of my full season unbeaten which I've never done before. Got approached by Fulham, and took the job. In the summer, and they have been relegated. Managed to sell Rhys Williams for £9million, brought in Ross Perry and Jordan Spence (both from Rangers, of course, who I signed them for). Started my season yesterday, currently top of the league after three games, although I did lose to Cambridge in the Cup.
