Leicester City cut losses on Matt Mills as defender completes move to Bolton

A few fans from both Leicester and Reading will soon try to advise them otherwise, get shot down but come mid-season they'll wish they'd listened.

His attitude will always get the better of him

TBH when we signed him and Reading fans came on here telling us he wasn't all that when we'd just signed him I thought it was just them being bitter but turns out they weren't and were just warning us. Bolton fans probably think the same about us. lol

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he turns out to be a huge success at Bolton and ends up in the Premiership next season

Don't matter does it.

He's gone end of...

Don't start moaning if he shines at Bolton, just take it on the chin.

I'll miss Matt Mills with his good dressing sense and his flashy black Audi. No more M1LLSY in town.

Good riddance to...?

You once were a really decent defender Matt, but for whatever reason couldn't cut it for Leicester.

All the best at Bolton, just don't get POTY up there, willya?

Interesting the club didn't add the "everybody at the club wishes him the best for the future" quote which is used on near enough every outgoing transfer like the sol transfer for example

Like Matt Mills did last year?

Many people (Me included) were ecstatic with the signing of Matt Mills last year from what i'd seen of him at Reading he was one of if not the best defender in the league thought we'd made a brilliant signing, how wrong I was.

TBH Pearson's done it before bring in 'unknowns' and made them into winning teams with good spirit and I trust he can do it again, I may be wrong but either way we have signed big names, 'good' players, big money splashed about in the past and it's got us no-where, we have signing 'unknowns' before and they have failed don't get me wrong but I would be quite confident in saying we have had more success out of 'unknown' something to prove type players than we have with big name, so called 'good' player reputations.

And don't give me the 'I just want some signings', 'We havn't signed anyone yet' speil because i'd hazard a guess we have done more business, doing our homework and identifying our targets than many clubs in the division so far.

I didn't mean big name signings. I meant it more in the positional sense. IMO we need 2 central defenders, at least 1, preferably 2 defensive midfielders, a winger and a target man. I too prefer the unknown player with something to prove. Some of our best players were signed from the lower divisions, especially under O'Neill.

Surely we'll never sign anymore centre mids, let alone defensive midfielders. Would like as many have said to get a Trotter type player but I doubt 2 defensive midfielders.

We already have James, Danns, Wellens, King, Drinkwater who are capable of playing most central midfield roles.

They're all attacking midfielders and if we're going to ask them to play the holding role, it's square pegs in round holes time again and we'll be no better in central midfield than last season. What worries me the most is the front line, too many similar strikers, not one of them any good in the air and only Waghorn that can hold the ball up

@cotterill_david

@dannzy1 back in tomo lad. When u back with big nige? Seen ur best mate got a move to bolton!

I see that as a sarcastic comment personally.

Is that tweet from Cotterill to Danns? Does Danns not like Mills then does anyone know?

Yeah Cotterill wrote that to Danns.

I don't use twitter so whenever I see a tweet I can never figure out who is 'tweeting' to who! lol
