filbertfoxy00 Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 Anyone have any idea when they are going to send them out? The club are quick enough to put them on sale, but then REALLY slow sending them out. I remember last season we had already played the first game at Cov before they bothered to send them out! Shocking.
Fox92 Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 Yeah, last season mine came about three days before the Reading game, and they sent me two!
HEGGSY Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 I got told it would be 2 weeks before the season starts.
filbertfoxy00 Posted 18 July 2012 Author Posted 18 July 2012 It amazes me that they have three months with little to do but wait until a few days before the season starts to send them out. It leaves no margin for error and is simply not acceptable.
Carter The Boss Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 They are rubbish at it. Last year mine came just before the first home game, and I got 2 as well but for different seats

Carter The Boss Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 My mate is a Sainst fan. This year they have moved from booklet to cards, and this is what she got through the post in June....
Harry - LCFC Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 It's only shocking if they don't turn up, what are you planning on doing with it now? It's nice to have a bit earlier than two days before the first home game wouldn't you agree? Just to be sure you have one, plus, you might be away for the days before a game and would need your ST to arrive before then.

Just to be sure you have one, plus, you might be away for the days before a game and would need your ST to arrive before then. And if it doesn't you walk in to the ticket office before the game and let them know. Putting you at most a few hundred feet away from where you were going anyway. If it's not there when you need it then have a moan... but this long before the season even starts?
filbertfoxy00 Posted 18 July 2012 Author Posted 18 July 2012 Babylon and his mates might like standing in a queue with other like minded souls that may have not received tickets and mingling with the 'Blue Army' all trying to purchase the latest cr*p from the club shop, but I prefer to have a few beers pre kick off to dull the pain of what we are about to endure after kick off! Like I say, they have 3 months to do it...so do they really need to leave it until the last minute to send out and possibly iron out any problems?

By the sounds of things you might be better off not getting a season ticket, If you go in with that attitude for long it could be bad for your health......I bet you're a barrel of laughs to sit next to!

I'm putting this forward because this happened to a friend of mine last season, I hardly think it's a lot to ask to have it delivered well in advance of when you first need it. Maybe they'll be better this year but they've already failed once at a task this really isn't difficult.
filbertfoxy00 Posted 18 July 2012 Author Posted 18 July 2012 "It isn't the last minute" It was last year! I've had 40 years of it and probably 10 or 12 have been good seasons, the rest have been pure dross. Every season they try same...they try to fill you with anticipation of the storming season that is to come but generally it is a huge letdown.
Babylon Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 "It isn't the last minute" It was last year! Have we gone back in time then?

You'd enjoy yourself more, and so would the people around you.

It's really not a big deal surely, we'll get them before the season starts, you can't use them before then.
Snik-Snok Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 When I renewed (not long before the deadline, whenever that was), I asked if they were going to go back to booklets again after the shambles of last season, but they said they were going to use swipe cards again and were due to start testing soon. It sounds like they've committed to using it again before confirming that it's going to work. Maybe the reason they're being sent late is so they have time to try and get it working, and I guess they can't program all the cards until the system's in place. If there's any doubt about it, they should just send booklets out, and spend next season getting it working right in time for the season after...
tricky85 Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 They putting new system in for swipe cards at the mo. St being sent out end of month.
Vlad the Fox Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 I'm sure they told me they will start sending them out by the middle of july.
promised land Posted 18 July 2012 Posted 18 July 2012 I was told in the pub by someone who knows someone, who knows someone who has seen the new shirts that knows someone, that this year to save on costs and to help the club they have employed Bernie to distribute the season tickets. He is starting in the centre of Leicester and going to everyone who works in the city first before working his way out into the villages. In his usual attire with hat and face paint. So if you here an "Aaaaaargh" while at work you know your season ticket is on its way very soon. Hope that helps.
