Hinckley - 24th Tuesday

Went last night. Nuge, De Laet and Vardy all looked very sharp, but if there's one player who'll have a massive season for us, it's Marshall. Huge talent.

Aware it's a run-round and the first game going for the squad so won't judge players, last night however, Futacs, King (despite his goal), Gallagher, Waghorn and Schlupp looked lost. James showed touches of class.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson says his side's chemistry is very positive going into the new season.

The Foxes beat Hinckley 4-1 in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday night.

Pearson told BBC Radio Leicester: "I am very pleased with the squad and not just how they are shaping up, but in terms of the make up and balance.

"The chemistry in the dressing room is very, very positive. The players take an awful lot of credit for creating what is a very positive environment."

Pearson continued: "They are working hard and they are realistic. They realise there is competition so they're is a bit of an edge to it as well, which I want."

Asked whether he plans to add any more players to his squad before the new season begins, the Foxes boss said: "We will try and add if we can, if the right players are available."

Thought that myself. Whether or not it was the same pre-Twitter and you just didn't get an insight I don't know, but now that you do get that insight it appears Danns, Peltier, Schmeichel, King, Gallagher, St Ledger, Kennedy, De Laet, Vardy and Schlupp in particular are all fairly close. Can only be good, team spirit can go a long way towards success, as well all know...

pretty good start for a pre-season, only thing that pissed me off was the retards singing at some 5 year old kid who'd lost his dad.

Where was they sitting?

This! He really had a stormer. Very assured on the ball, liked to pass his way out of trouble and wasn't afraid to get stuck in. Anyone know his name?

Not seen this mentioned previously but Peltier gave a very effective and influential performance in the second half. If Nugent and/or Vardy hadn't been flagged offside on countless occasions, Peltier made some telling through balls. Coupled with his desire to run the flank and support the attack whenever possible, I believe he played admirably, with Marshall and Nugent in tht mould too.

His name is Ben Richards Everton I think. But I'm glad I'm not the only person to recognize how well he played. Think he would be a better option than Bolger or Parkes.

happiest man on the night was the fella with the burger van-probably retired now

Good effort though big fundraiser for hinckley dont forget.

Thought schlupp was the pick first half moving really well.

Second half movement and pace were miles better.Dyer spending a lot of time covering back.

Has anywhere actually mentioned how much they raised?

Must of been enough to keep them going for a while longer.

But fantastic effort by all city fans, my only regret was getting there 5 minutes before kickoff, bleeding sun :)
