What happened?!

Nothing to do with LCFC I was joking. I got hit by a stone from a passing car and it's chipped/cracked my windscreen costing me £60.

Can someone tell me what standard hinkley are? are they semi-pro?

Aman Verma played up front according to BBC Radio Leicester when it worked.

Dave, where are your highlights? I'm disappointed.

First half looked more like

------------ Futacs

Schlupp Waghorn Gallagher

--------- James King

Konchesky Parkes Bolger De Laet

I would love that to be so. Last year when we played one up top it was a disaster as the main forward couldn't hold the ball up. If Futacs can play that role, with Nugent and Vardy operating on their 'wrong' side so that they can cut in to suppport, it would free Marshall to play in behind them with any of Danns / Drinkwater/ King/ James /Wellens sitting a little deeper. That could be an impressive attacking unit.

Even if I had any I can't post them as I've been banned on YouTube.

Hinckley had a massive Center half who was actually decent. Stood up to Futacs brilliantly. Number 6 i think he was

Was also their standout player when Hinckley played Coventry.

I don't know who his name is either though.

Was that the mixed race lad? Thought he was a good player myself...

Good work out

Marshall and Nugent class above everyone on our team.

Danns also did well.

Thought Waghorn's shooting was poor (surprise)

Vardy missed an absolute sitter when clean through but hopefully he will improve as the games come thick and fast.

Conrad no chance with the freekick!

Think Marshall will be our key man this season

Do you have Langley9 on the back of your shirt?.

If so, you were behind me in the line to get in.

Yup, that was me!

This! He really had a stormer. Very assured on the ball, liked to pass his way out of trouble and wasn't afraid to get stuck in. Anyone know his name?

Not seen this mentioned previously but Peltier gave a very effective and influential performance in the second half. If Nugent and/or Vardy hadn't been flagged offside on countless occasions, Peltier made some telling through balls. Coupled with his desire to run the flank and support the attack whenever possible, I believe he played admirably, with Marshall and Nugent in tht mould too.

For me I felt there was a definite strong side out of the 2 teams last night that could definitely challenge for the title this season.

Judging from last nights game I would start with this against Peterborough (will change depending on future appearances in pre-season)

Futacs

Vardy Nugent

Marshall

Danns Drinkwater

Kennedy St Ledger Morgan De Laet

Kasper

Subs: Logan, Whitbread, Peltier, King, Waghorn, Dyer, Beckford

Pearson (audio) interview after the match:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18983670

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson says his side's chemistry is very positive going into the new season.

The Foxes beat Hinckley 4-1 in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday night.

Pearson told BBC Radio Leicester: "I am very pleased with the squad and not just how they are shaping up, but in terms of the make up and balance.

"The chemistry in the dressing room is very, very positive. The players take an awful lot of credit for creating what is a very positive environment."

Pearson continued: "They are working hard and they are realistic. They realise there is competition so they're is a bit of an edge to it as well, which I want."

Asked whether he plans to add any more players to his squad before the new season begins, the Foxes boss said: "We will try and add if we can, if the right players are available."

I've only seen the goals, but how good was Ben Marshall to set up Nugent on the second goal and to do it himself on the fourth? Superb.

Got to say i thought Ben Marshall looked a cut above last night, real quality!

If he stays fit he will be a massive player for us next season.

Think Vardy looked ok too and Nugent was good, the centre midfielders all did well aso boding quite well already.

It is massively obvious though, the one signing we need is a quality Left Winger!

The mixed race lad you were talking about has only just turned 20 years old. Was speaking to my cousin about him at half time said he's one for the future. Posted this earlier in the thread also...

You wouldnt have Matt James or Paul Konchesky in your squad?

Also, how did Dyer do? Everybody keeps saying how much better we were 2nd half but his name hasnt been mentioned once!

He done ok, nothing spectacular. He actually seemed to more central than out wide for majority of time. He didn't do anything to hurt his chances of playing
