MC Prussian Posted 23 April 2013 Author Posted 23 April 2013 It shows how dependent Barcelona are on Messi and that their squad is getting a bit on the old side. They don't seem to have a Plan B when Messi is hampered - tonight shows how easily it can all break apart. I guess it's how things in general change in football on a regular basis - I, for one, would say that the Catalanian dominance is over. 60+% possession gives you **** all when your players aren't fit and when you can't find the net. Also, Jordi Alba played really bad tonight. Shocking defending, and always one step too late.
Guest Bilo Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Bayern will win the CL, can see an all German final if I'm honest. A proper endorsement of German club football if ever there was one.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Robben is such a dick. No idea why Chelsea got rid. Quality player and with his twatish personality you'd have thought he'd fit right in
Brooksy Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Can see a similar scoreline in the Nou Camp. Barca are looking woeful.
Finnegan Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 What odds can I get on Barca to win on pens? Worth a fiver?
MC Prussian Posted 23 April 2013 Author Posted 23 April 2013 Can see a similar scoreline in the Nou Camp. Barca are looking woeful. Yes - 4-0 for Bayern.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 I'm no fan of Robben's attitude but I enjoyed watching him tonight. He was actually quite selfless at times and got his reward with a goal (in large part thanks to Muller's blatant foul).
Grewks Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Got to love all the Barcelona haters. They played with 10 men. And all this 'bayern are the best side in the world' stuff on twitter is rubbish, they haven't won anything yet. Current rankings IMO... 1) Barcelona 2) Real Madrid 3) Manchester United 4) Bayern Munich But in all fairness, i think those sides could play each other 10 times and have 5 wins each. The champions league is becoming much more like the championship, great to see the unpredictability.
Danizen Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Is Jordi Alba crazy, throwing the ball at Robben? The boy could have died.
ADK Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Would have been nice to see what United could have done if Real hadn't paid off the ref.
Fox in the North Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 No way are United better than Bayern this season.
Finnegan Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 United better than Bayern? Not for me. This. Bayern are having an absolutely unbelievable season.
David Guiza Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Would never put United ahead of Bayern, and they also completely outplayed Real Madrid in last years semi. Were unfortunate to not win in normal time in all fairness. It could just be a one off, but they are a different team to last year, such a good squad; let alone the first XI. Picking Messi has completely backfired for Barca, but the man can still perform miracles in Camp Nou.
Danizen Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Did they really just play 'Is This The Way to Amarilo?' They must be in a hurry to empty the stadium.
purpleronnie Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Did they really just play 'Is This The Way to Amarilo?' They must be in a hurry to empty the stadium. Its number 1 in germany atm.
Guest MattP Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Did they really just play 'Is This The Way to Amarilo?' They must be in a hurry to empty the stadium. They love that sort of shit. No juxebox in Germany has a track on it post 1998. And whoever seriously ranked Man U above Bayern have a word.....
Guest MattP Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Would have been nice to see what United could have done if Real hadn't paid off the ref. Or if Fergie had reacted to Mourinho bringing on Modric rather than shouting at the fourth official for the next ten minutes....
AdamN Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Got to love all the Barcelona haters. They played with 10 men. No they didn't.
whoareyaaa Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Barca got teared a new arsehole tonight. nice little fact though that no German team has won a major trophy since 2001, national and domestic.
foxfanazer Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Or if Fergie had reacted to Mourinho bringing on Modric rather than shouting at the fourth official for the next ten minutes.... this
Grewks Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 No they didn't. messi was not fit. they effectively played with 10 men.
Guest shearfox Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 messi was not fit. they effectively played with 10 men. Well they shouldn't have played him...
Grewks Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 United better than Bayern? Not for me. fair enough. But manchester United are the only team in the world which i believe can win every game they play, they always seem to have that ability. Bayern have bottled it in recent years, barcelona have been consistent aswell but don't have the squad depth as others, and real have ronaldo.
Grewks Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Well they shouldn't have played him... any team in world football would play a half fit messi. They played messi against psg when he couldn't sprint due to his hamstring, he literally walked for the whole time he was on, and he turned it around for them.
