glenny_fox Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Just seen this and wondered peoples opinion on it. Will he be a success this time around or another compete failure? http://www.london24.....rong_1_1460277 Edit: as the website doesn't seem to be working thought i'd paste the story; Charlton boss Chris Powell has backed Yann Kermorgant to be a success in the Championship after his spell at Leicester ended in embarrassment. The Frenchman was forever remembered by the Foxes for his chipped penalty that was comfortably saved by Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall. But Powell has backed the forward to show that he has improved. “I think he will show people that he’s a good player, a class player,†Powell said. “I think people will look at his period at Leicester and wonder if he can do it in the Championship, but I know he can and know for a fact that he will do that this season.â€

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 I don't care about him, I don't care about Charlton. If they had anybody but Chris Powell in charge I'd want them to fail so miserably this season.
m00nie Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 imagine he will do well.. in a promoted side, go the momentum. consistency. he wasnt actually bad it was as it says the penalty that hes remembered for..
ealingfox Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 imagine he will do well.. in a promoted side, go the momentum. consistency. he wasnt actually bad it was as it says the penalty that hes remembered for.. 1 (admittedly decent) goal in 20-odd games and very few other noteworthy contributions, yes he was actually bad, probably not too far off decent though. Personally I am really looking forward most to seeing his reaction when he bags a hatrick at the KPS (bound to happen).
1964FOX Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Will people boo him? I won't personally but it will be interesting if they get a penalty against us and he is on the pitch.
ealingfox Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 I won't personally but it will be interesting if they get a penalty against us and he is on the pitch. If he went out of his way to take it and scored (panenka or not) I would definitely be booing.
LCFC BEAST Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Will people boo him? I wouldn't, Waghorn missed a penalty yet he's still loved. Just because he chipped it doesn't make it different to anyone you rockets it in to the top corner.
Sods Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Kermo was underrated and was never really liked by Leicester fans even before the penalty miss. Fantastic in the air, was best for me when playing behind the front man.
Simmo86 Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 I won't boo him. Over it a long time ago! Just for the record, he will score against us this season!
Bert Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 What a nothing story. He's always going to back his player.
indierich06 Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 He deserves the level of vitriol he gets. Does he? For missing a spot kick? You need to get over it mate, there's more to life than football and if you can hate someone for missing a penalty then you need to have a word with yourself.
Haydos Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Why is he even getting talked about? Old news. And for the record, booing him would be pathetic. He made one significant mistake a long time ago, get over it.
SemperEadem Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 People will boo him, not sure they should but they will.

Probably not ,If I think about that miss, it bloody annoys me , but these things happen for a reason I guess, lets hope Kermo can be our secret weapon and score the winning goal in their game to confirm our promotion.
Mark_w Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Will people boo him? I wouldn't, he never actually did anything massivley wrong just made a horrible mistake, Wayne Brown is the real villain of that Play-Off campaign and we've already had our chance to boo him.
hbkkids Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 I won't boo him. Over it a long time ago! Just for the record, he will score against us this season! The play-off heartbreak was long gone I agree.... But never forgotten
The Year Of The Fox Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 I wouldn't, Waghorn missed a penalty yet he's still loved. Just because he chipped it doesn't make it different to anyone you rockets it in to the top corner. Afterall a penalty taken at 60-70 mph into a corner/aimed towards a post is just as easy to save as a penalty taken at 20mph straight down the keepers throat

kingfox Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 I will stand and clap him, and if anybody stares at me in a funny way. I will tell them to piss off.
Mark_w Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 May as well clap every player we face, they've all done nothing noteworthy for Leicester as well. (If you're serious)
