foxfanazer Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 So every club in England should get a fine then?, Leicester ball boys did it numerous times on Friday as do all clubs, hazard is no professional and don't get how anyone can justify or condone what he did. bring back lynching!! Jesus Christ!
Corky Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 People on the radio going slightly over the top. Ban for the rest of the season! Fine him wages! Kick Chelsea out of football! It should be a three-game ban, an apology then move on.

I don't see why it should be part of the game. It's bad enough players on the pitch play-acting and pushing gamesmanship to the limit. To have ballboys doing it is too much. It is not football, it is not the game we love, it should be punished out of the game. I'm not condoning what Hazard did. He deserved the red. Equally, I'm not condoning what the Swansea ball-boys did.
Simmo86 Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 Son of a Swansea director aswell according to Twitter and also calls himself a 'LAD' in his profile. Worthy of a good shoeing on its own!

Guest shearfox Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 The ball boy should be lucky it wasn't Torres, he would have completely missed the ball and probably knocked the lad out.
foxfanazer Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 The ball boy should be lucky it wasn't Torres, he would have completely missed the ball and probably knocked the lad out. or Ramires raking his studs down his ankle

Guest shearfox Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 He should get the same punishment as the leeds fan who attacked kirkland. Both similar incidences. Don't agree, Hazard has no intention of harming the ball boy, he just wants to get on with the game. Sure he shouldn't have kicked the ball from underneath but the ball boy shouldn't be trying to guard it from Hazard. And the ball boys reaction afterwards is just comical... I would be ashamed at his age weeping like a school girl in front of all the TV camera's to try to make the incident worse then it actually was.
foxfanazer Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 He should get the same punishment as the leeds fan who attacked kirkland. Both similar incidences. again, not similar in any way!
Guest ttfn Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 Did he kick him or did he kick the ball on which the ball boy was lying? Red card was correct but some of the reactions on here and elsewhere are mental. The kid deserved everything coming to him. Smug twat.

Greatness_Since_1884 Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 They were both in the wrong for me. Yes fair enough there's gamesmanship etc. but the kid took it a bit far. Hazard bundled him over trying to get the ball. Where Hazard went wrong was the kid is on the floor and then he goes back in to try and rip it from his hands and so the lad saw an opportunity to time waste by lying on it. Thats wrong and overstepping the mark. However, Hazard was a total fool for kicking him like that. You cannot do that to anyone and he deserves 3/4 match ban and a fine. He made the situation a whole lot worse than it had to be.
Leicesterpool Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 So Swansea & Bradford league cup final should be exciting, no hard feelings on Bradford hope they go on to win, we don't want a welsh team winning our league cup and getting into Europe!
Fox92 Posted 24 January 2013 Author Posted 24 January 2013 Good final. Nice to see two teams that don't usually make it there. So Swansea & Bradford league cup final should be exciting, no hard feelings on Bradford hope they go on to win, we don't want a welsh team winning our league cup and getting into Europe! I do want Bradford to win. Got nothing against Swansea though, regardless of them being Welsh, they are a good club that do things the right way, academy seems to be good and they play good football.

Kicks the ball - gif doesn't show it well, this video does: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS97DRBj2zg (around about 33 seconds).

But from the other angles you can clearly see he's kicked through the man to get to the ball. Back in the old days that would have been allowed but you just can't tackle ball boys like that anymore.

Back in the old days that would have been allowed but you just can't tackle ball boys like that anymore. And that makes it a problem? **** - better start giving fouls for tackles that touch players then. He's gone to kick the ball out from under the **** and done so - end of story. Hazard should at most get a one-match ban and well, given that chap was saying it was his final game anyway I don't see how he can be punished as such.

Just because you don't like the kid or think he's a chav or whatever doesn't mean it's ok to kick people on the floor. He's kicked him in the ribs, he knew he was likely to, but he did it anyway. If he did it to a player he'd have been sent off.

Looking at that video the ballboy is just as bad as Hazard. What Hazard did was stupid, but the ballboy's reaction was pathetic. I actually feel a bit sorry for Hazard and the abuse he's gonna get now. Suppose he shouldn't have put himself in that position in the first place though.
Finnegan Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Has Finnegan defended the ball boy yet or am i being premature? Yes he has Not defending the ballboy at all, he was being a twat. Kicking him in front of twenty thousand live spectators and a worldwide television audience, however, is monumentally ****ing stupid.
Super_horns Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Yes,I'd agree with the above. No harm was intended but it was a reckless act but then would Hazard really know better. He isn't that much older than the kid himself...
Finnegan Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 If you don't know any better than to lash out and put the boot in when you're under pressure then you shouldn't be in a high pressure role. Almost every other professional out there manages it. You'd hope, for Hazard's sakes, Benitez has the strength of character to have some harsh ****ing words.
