ScouseFox Posted 21 February 2013 Author Posted 21 February 2013 Simply amazing that any team with any manager and any "philosophy" would spend the last 30 seconds of a game/tie like that passing it across their back 4
Corky Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 What a goal from Hazard, Chelsea stumble through.
MC Prussian Posted 21 February 2013 Posted 21 February 2013 A bit gutted Liverpool lost out, would've loved to see Basel play at Anfield. Alas, Zenit it is. I don't care about the outcome and don't see the Swiss outfit progressing, but a few points for the UEFA coefficient would do nicely.
Uncle Albert Posted 22 February 2013 Posted 22 February 2013 Absolutely gutted'. Great effort. May sound daft but Carraghers mistake probably gave us the kick up the arse to attack with intent. Luis Suarez is absolutely sensational.

Luis Suarez is absolutely sensational. Shame he lets himself down by being a completely vile bastard. Why he had to stamp on the Russian defender by the byline yesterday I have no idea.
Jaspa Posted 22 February 2013 Posted 22 February 2013 Shame he lets himself down by being a completely vile bastard. Why he had to stamp on the Russian defender by the byline yesterday I have no idea. It wasnt really a stamp, but it was stupid to do it right at the end when you need a goal. I like Suarez, a propper footballer, a joy to watch; and you'd certainly want him on your side
MC Prussian Posted 22 February 2013 Posted 22 February 2013 Suarez is still a kid. A passionate one, mind. I've grown to like him. At first I thought he was just another arrogant, egocentric footballer. But over the past two years or so, he's matured quite a bit. He used to act in silly ways, both on and off the pitch. This season, however, he appears to be much more focused. The joy that he displays (see the jubilations after the second free-kick goal against Zenit) and the effort he puts in deserve anyone's admiration.
Uncle Albert Posted 22 February 2013 Posted 22 February 2013 Shame he lets himself down by being a completely vile bastard. Why he had to stamp on the Russian defender by the byline yesterday I have no idea. If it was such a malicious stamp then he will have no complaints if UEFA take action against him. He's the best player in England at the minute for me, all round play is another level to most in the League at the minute. Was hard to see him at the end of the game nearly in tears, he wanted that 4th goal more than anyone. Liverpool have got 11 League games to keep Luis Suarez because a massive club is going to come in with a massive price for him in the Summer!
purpleronnie Posted 22 February 2013 Posted 22 February 2013 Such a shame liverpool blew it in the first leg, it would have been nice to have 4 english clubs in the last 16. And I think Carragher has made the right decision to retire.

In fairness Carragher was immense apart from that mistake last night and has been brilliant in the last month or so.
Ross-Kemp Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 Chelsea 1-0 down away at steau. Was an absolute stonewall penalty too.
Ross-Kemp Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 Cracking result for Newcastle. I think there was something like 67 Newcastle fans there and the temperature was -8 !
Soar Fox Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 Cracking result for Newcastle. I think there was something like 67 Newcastle fans there and the temperature was -8 ! 67 fans is good going. Feel sorry for them going all the way over there to watch that though.
foxfanazer Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 He dragged his leg back again like he always does mate
marko Posted 7 March 2013 Posted 7 March 2013 There was contact though ? After Bale deliberately left his leg half a mile behind him.
