Milton Keynes Fox Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 100% record there after four games. It's all about making that place a fortress that teams are afraid to come to!
blueblood88 Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 I think teams already feel that way, I think we have only lost 10 or so games at home since 2008/09 season?
indierich06 Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 It's the fans imo Yeah, booing the team off at half time every other game really helps us out.
Guest ttfn Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Since Pearson came back: Played 19 Won 11 Drawn 6 Lost 2 39 points from 19 games, which is a great record. It also goes to show the fallacy of the "win your home games, draw your away games" comment. We've got a great record at home, but it's still only just above 2 points per game.
stevelcfc Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Need to sort out our away form and we have a chance.
Matt Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 I prefer the King Poer Stadium I'm not the only person who saw that then. I think atmosphere has been better there so far this season aswell, still could be better but it has improved to what it was.
Guest Bilo Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Start winning away and we won't go far wrong. The years of Levein, Kelly, Holloway et al where we'd meekly roll over at home seem a long time ago now.
Kitchandro Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 If only we could get some fans there to see all these wins! Seeing the East Stand and the Kop so empty leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Good showing from the boys though lifted those in attendance.

Good showing from the boys though lifted those in attendance. Is the east stand really that bare then? I sit in it, so I don't get an overview. The top rows always seem empty though.

Good showing from the boys though lifted those in attendance. Maybe we should drop prices and do some deals! Kids for £1 (in weekend, not midweek games...) Buy one get one half price etc.. Cost £30 for today!

Cost £30 for today! I don't think football clubs realise just how much that is to some people. £30 is a days work for me.

Cost £30 for today! It's alright for kids, 8 year old went with me today and got in free. It's the 13-40s we need to bring back.
Kitchandro Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Is the east stand really that bare then? I sit in it, so I don't get an overview. The top rows always seem empty though. Two seasons ago it was always pretty much full for weekend games, as was the Kop, but plenty of empty seats there today, even as far along as K and the bottom of L there were big bare spaces. The family stand in comparison seemed pretty full apart from the top, was that the case?
Fox92 Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 The two seasons Pearson was here previous, we were solid at home. He must have lost only a handfull of games at the Walkers/King Power stadium. We've beaten some good teams this season already, Hull are a good example, and hopefully this can continue. If we can find away form as well, we can go forward.
Charl91 Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Maybe we should drop prices and do some deals! Kids for £1 (in weekend, not midweek games...) Buy one get one half price etc.. Cost £30 for today! It's why I can't go to many games at the moment. My weekly budget is £30. If I go to a game then I can't eat for the week.
LJS Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 The East Stand was very expensive for season tickets, or at least it was where I looked. I sat there last year but was lucky enough to get in on a student season ticket. I knew I wouldn't have been able to this season before they dropped that price bracket, so did expect to have to pay more this time around. I'd have preferred to stay where I was but the prices made it impossible, so I've shifted myself to SK2. Now, all that's fine, I can afford what I can afford. But it doesn't surprise me that the East Stand looks so empty. It wouldn't hurt the club to do some deals with the local universities/hospitals/police/community groups. Reaching out to the community is a positive thing in its own right and would only generate extra income.
Guy Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Maybe we should drop prices and do some deals! Kids for £1 (in weekend, not midweek games...) Buy one get one half price etc.. Cost £30 for today! As a member you used to be able to get a deal whereby you could get five tickets (in my case five games) for £100 - I'm sure re-introducing deals such as that would get more bums on seats. Not for me as my absence for most of the season is through living in Plymouth, not because of the scrapping of that good deal! I thought it was good anyway but it was scrapped as soon as the Thais took over! Now being a member hardly benefits you at all which is why I'm no longer one!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 NP's home record with us: (if my working out is correct) Played: 65 Won: 37 Drawn: 21 Lost: 7 Points: 132
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Yep, we are pretty good at home, NP has definitely turned that around in his 2 spells here. Thank god, because there is nothing worse than losing 0-1 to an absolutely wank bottom of the table team like we used to do regularly

shade Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 paid £41 for my ticket in J2 today, east stand. because I'm worth it.
Corky Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Our League record at home since August 2008: Played- 96 Won- 54 Drawn- 27 Lost- 15 In the previous 96 home league games- (last four home matches of 2003/04 to end of 2007/08 season) Won- 30 Drawn- 34 Lost- 32
brockmyster Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 It seems to me that people are moving from east stand to the family stand so thats why its getting more full/empty and i dont really blame them tbh, its much cheaper!
