What a joke. Total joke.

Bring back someone who doesn't want to be here, does nothing but hinder our attacking play through being absolute crap for us.

Tevez has only scored 1 in 12 is he useless to ManCity's team or a key reason in facilitating others to shine.

There is ZERO chance of Beckford playing for us, Pearson played him too much when Schlupp should have had a look. Despite it being his signing Sven realised that & played Schlupp until his injury whereas NP stood by Beckford for far too long until his desire to leave & influence made him staying an awful thing for the team.

Why would anyone want a forward who scored in 20% of his games, failed to score in 80% coupled with his all round game being shit eg. Giving the ball away inviting waves of opposition atracks, not be able to hold ball up to allow midfield to join attack, & not close down opposition allowing them to build attacks with ease as opposed to snatched passes under pressure.

I hope to never see him again, woeful player for us. One of the worst signings too.

Maybe because we are playing fast fluid football and we need another finisher! Knockaert playing balls to Beckford...

This forum knows my thoughts on Beckford but I don't want him playing for my club if he doesn't want to play for us, simple as that same would go for any other squad member.

Not some big money, "big name" flop that people are desperately hoping comes good. He isn't. Get over it.

I said, I don't want people at my football club who don't want to be here. Regardless of is someone is better. Beckford will never play to his full potential in a blue shirt. Waghorn however will, because he WANTS to be here and play for us. Waghorn is younger, has a lot to learn and I am sure will start scoring soon, I mean he can't have come much closer on Saturday could he?

My point is, who cares if Beckford is better than Waghorn? Messi is better than Waghorn, but the bottom line is - he doesn't want to play for us. Understand that?

My point is, who cares if Beckford is better than Waghorn? Messi is better than Waghorn, but the bottom line is - he doesn't want to play for us. Understand that?

If you'd read my other posts, you would have seen that I didn't want Beckford back.

He has earned Huddersfield 6 points though - thats how many we have got in the last 6 games.......why will he only play for Simon Grayson and not Nigel?

He won't only play for Grayson, but he suits Grayson's style of play, he scores a lot of his goals from crosses, we can't cross, he feeds off a big man flicking it on, we don't have a big man, he scores the majority with instinctive first time shots and fast counter attacks that he puts the finishing touch on, but he also misses a lot of them and fluffs it when he has too much time to think about what he is going to do and doesn't contribute much to the all round game.

Ironically he would probably have been a success this season if NP hadn't changed his footballing style to a possession and pressing game, rather than 442 direct style, hit the channels and whip a cross in.

As others have said though, if he doesn't want to be here I don't want him here.

...and as for Marlon King, no way would I want him to have anything to do with this club, he is a serial offender and a thug.

While on loan to Hull City, King was alleged to have headbutted teammate Dean Windass in a casino in Scarborough. Hull City stated that the matter had been dealt with internally, and both players remained with the club.[44] Windass later described the incident as a "storm in a teacup".

King has convictions for 14 offences, dating from 1997.[45][46] He received fines, driving bans, community service sentences, a rehabilitation order and orders to pay compensation on convictions including: theft from a person and from a car, criminal damage, and attempting to obtain property by deception; fraudulent use of vehicle licence document, driving without insurance, speeding, drink driving; a wounding incident while playing amateur football, and two cases involving assault of young women rejecting his advances in the Soho area of London.

Two cases have led to imprisonment. In May 2002 he received an eighteen-month prison sentence for receiving stolen goods, in relation to a BMW convertible that he was found driving. He was found not guilty of a charge of assaulting a police officer in a related case. His solicitor commented that "His reputation will be tarnished forever, whatever success he achieves, he'll always be referred to in a Tyson-esque way as someone who has had a criminal past and that is a considerable penalty."[47][48] Gillingham continued to pay his salary while he was in jail, and supported in his appeal, which resulted in the sentence being reduced to nine months, and he was released on licence after five months, returning to the Gillingham team within two days of his release.[49]

In December 2008, again in the Soho area, King was arrested on suspicion of punching a 20 year-old female university student in the face, causing a broken nose and split lip for which she was treated in hospital. He was later convicted of sexual assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and sentenced to 18 months in prison and placed on the sex offender register for seven years.[2] Wigan Athletic immediately initiated the cancellation of his contract.[50] King’s agent, Tony Finnigan, said he was confident that his client would find a club on his release, which was on 29 July 2010,[51] and accused the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) of failing to offer support.[52] Gordon Taylor, the chief executive of the PFA, said that the PFA did not represent players when they have broken the law and been convicted on non-footballing matters. It would support members with anger management or other issues if approached but no approach had been made by King.[16] After his release, he made an appeal against the conviction which was unsuccessful.[53]

Sorry, what? If you mean, "Why doesn't he want to be here" I have no idea. Perhaps he didn't want to get sold from an unsuccessful stint in the premiership, to a club where he thought it'd be easy-ish work and loads of money? Now everything has changed and he's not top dog - he wants to leave? Maybe?

That's the ultimate question for me Mack....

Why would a player want to leave City to play for Huddersfield? The only answer can be Grayson and first team football I suspect.

I'm no fan of Beckford, but Huddersfield lie one point behind us in the table. Please Nigel don't do another DJ Campbell and gift a rival club a player who looks to be happy and scoring goals.

Palace top scorer 13

Middlesborough top scorer has 5

Cardiff top scorer has 7

Hull top scorer has 6

Leicester top scorer 7

Huddersfield top scorer 4

So, aside from Palace, we're keeping pace in terms of a goalscorer. Austin may be on fire but Burnley are still only 13th. A new striker does not sort all problems, especially if that striker is Beckford.

King hasn't offended in quite some then? scored 16 league goals last season and has 8 already this season in a piss-poor championship team.

What do you want to do, become friends with him or show him where the net is at the KP?

Oh well, that's alright then - get the woman beater in and pay him £10,000 a week.

I wouldn't want him here if he scored 50 goals a season for us. For some of us, principles are more important than success on the pitch.

I am nothing of the sort, I just don't see the benefit in locking up a teenager and throwing away the key.

I am willing to give people a second chance, always, but King has had a second and third and fourth chance, and he didn't change, maybe his last spell inside for sexual assault and battery has finally taught him his lesson, but the general word on the grapevine is he is still an arrogant up himself cvnt, and it is only a matter of time before he offends again, he has not been rehabilitated and has let his status as a decent footballer go to his head.

I had no problem with the likes of Jamie Lawrence playing for us, but Marlon King is a thug and he should never have been allowed to play football again.
