tbaker16 Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Team prediction? Score predictions? Couldn't find a topic for this so thought I'd make one, discuss and, are we playing in black or white? They play in dark blue so I'm guessing white?
Ely fox Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 I hope pearson gives futacs a go and he starts but dont think he will. A bit concerned about the midfield being too similar and light weight for this one and whether pearson's tactics can cope with millwall. 2-1 millwall
tbaker16 Posted 11 December 2012 Author Posted 11 December 2012 Possibly a wellens game? Could get scrappy in midfield at times and he is that type of player
iamafox Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 If we had beaten Barnsley, then I'd certainly take a draw. But now I'm hoping for a win at Millwall just to make up for the 2 dropped points.
Fox92 Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 If we had beaten Barnsley, I would have taken a point, especially considering we have more tough games after this. I do think it will be a tough game though, no doubt about that. But I'll sit on the fence and say 1-1. Team I'd go for would probably be along the lines of; Kasper De Laet -- Morgan -- Whitbread -- Konchesky Knockaert -- Drinkwater -- James -- Marshall Nugent -- Futacs ____ Subs: Logan, Moore, King, Dyer, Lingard, Vardy, Waghorn ____ I know Waghorn has been playing well, but I just think this will be a game where we might have to revert to a more direct play. Futacs would be able to back in to defenders, try and dominate in the air and just generally give us that option.
kingfox Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Possibly a wellens game? Could get scrappy in midfield at times and he is that type of player I know it's only your second post but...
Bugg Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - Whitbread - Konchesky James King - Drinkwater Marshall - Nugent - Vardy I would go for that starting XI, 3 in midfield as I think we will get overrun in that area and Marshall and Vardy in as I think they will contribute well definsively as well as attacking.
Danno Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Whitbread Konchesky Drinkwater James King Knockaert Nugent Dyer
indierich06 Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Whitbread Konchesky Marshall King Drinkwater Dyer Nugent Vardy
dynamark Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 As above but Schlupp for his pace and Knocky for Vardy under orders to hit the wings when we have it and central when we dont defending from the top.Gonna be rough but we need to handle it and keep playing on the deck.
Out Foxed Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 how many pubs are we gonna smash up? pwopa naughtee
Blueforever Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Best strategy is play a 4-5-1 with 2 holding midfielders. Park the bus and try and hit them on the break with Schlupp and Marshall and King. Need someone to hold/target man so Futacs gets the nod up front for me. Predicted score 0-0 Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Whitbread Konchesky Drinkwater James Marshall King Schlupp Futacs
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 When I saw Millwall on TV against Leeds recently, they played some really cracking football and seemed a similar side to us in a lot of ways - young, quick, creative, fast-passing. Not just a bunch of 6 ft 6 thugs as they're sometimes stereotyped.
LCFC FOX Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 I would go for Kasper De Laet Morgan Whitbread Koncheskey Drinkwater King James Knockaert Nugent Futacs subs - Logan, Moore, Schlupp, Dyer, Marshall, Vardy, Waghorn
lcfc matt Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 I would go for Kasper De Laet Morgan Whitbread Koncheskey Drinkwater King Dyer Knockaert Nugent Futacs We have to start futacs this guy is a giant would love to see him and nugent get a start together.
Tom17LCFC Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Very surprised at the amount of people dropping Waghorn. Think this game suits him, he's strong on the ball and won't give them a moments rest.
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Very surprised at the amount of people dropping Waghorn. Think this game suits him, he's strong on the ball and won't give them a moments rest. Can't agree more (Mark w are you reading... ) Waggy would absolutely be in my team to face Millwall. For the reasons you stated.
Lambert09 Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Darius Henderson still gives me nightmares from Svens last game, luckily we have Wes to handle him instead of Bamba. I'd make one change and that would be marshall on for dyer. Really looking forward to my first trip to the den
La Volpe Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Marshall on for knocky whos not really been doing it for me last few games, I know he scored v Barnsely but apart from that he was slightly disappointing. I reckon dyer will be up for it as he used to play for them so I'd leave him on. Bring in James for drinkwater to add a bit of bite the midfield
jimmer Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - Whitbread - Konch Marshall - King - Drinkwater - Dyer Waggy - Nugent or Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - Whitbread - Konch King - Drinkwater - James Marshall --------- Waggy Nugent
kingfox Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - Whitbread - Konch King - Drinkwater - James Marshall --------- Waggy Nugent Got to be that, but maybe Dyer instead of Marshall with Waggy swapping wings.
shade Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 schmeichel Morgan whitbread konchesky de laet james king drinkwater schlupp knockaert nugent
Munshi Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 We definatly need 3 in the middle of the park or we're going to get outmusclued and overrun. Maybe bring futacs on a little earlier than previous games. 60th minute... Kasper De laet Morgan Whitbread Konch Drinky James King Marshall Nuge Waghorn Play marshall behind the two strikers and drop knocky for this one as it could be a little more physical IMO. 2-1 win would do me fine
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Can see it being same team but maybe bring Futacs in! Im going for a 2-2 draw
Bluetintedspecs Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Not got a great record there, tough game but think we are due one at the New Den, narrow 1-0 win for me.
