Would love a Tommy, Fitz or Rose win but Rory again to tie Faldo, Mickelson and Trevino on 6 majors would be the dream

The dream is very much alive

He needs to start hitting some fairways as doubt he'll be able to keep up this level of recovery shot.

I feel like this will either be a McIlroy procession or we could be on for one of the tightest years in a very long time.

The course is excellent

Honestly think his best chance is to keep hitting driver and being aggressive, I don't have the stats to back this up but it feels like when he tries to dial it back and hit 3 wood off the tee he's no better off for it. Augusta is pretty forgiving off the tee, you can't get yourself in to too much trouble as long as you play sensibly if you do get slightly out of position, and his short game is massively slept on. But I'd back him to figure something out on the range overnight and drive it much straighter today.

The fact he birdied all of the par 5's yesterday and was only able to go for one of them in two bodes very well.

Following up yesterday's score is big, if he can get something even just a couple under today it would be massive.

I think they said he was less than 40% FIR yesterday.

40% is my percentage off the tee! Though to be fair my 3W doesn't go 300 yards like his driver lol

My only concern for Rory is that he'll run out of gas.

He arrived at Augusta last Saturday and has had loads of media and other obligations to attend to. He's been flat out busy before the tournament even started.

He looked knackered in the presser after his round yesterday and I fear it might all catch up with him by Sunday.

It's a long hilly walk around ANGC and with temperatures reaching the 90's it' exhausting.

It still amazes me that they don't allow buggies if players/caddies want to use them.

Don't be daft.

These are professional athletes with time in their hands to practice their profession and not only that their fitness. A golfer has never been fitter than the present day golfer.

I actually want Rory to drop a couple. This could be the closest weekend in years

I want him to stamp on their necks and win by 10

I hope we never see the day, there are already far too many youngsters using buggy's instead of enjoying a walk and socialising with their paying partners.
