Big session of foursomes this. The Internationals can't afford anything less than a 3 point lead going into the singles imo.

Hope they win it 2.5 - 1.5 minimum to give them a 11-7 lead and really put the pressure on the US tomorrow.

The Internationals must flip at least one of the top two matches and hold on to win the fourth to have any chance imo

Looks like the US finally learnt how to play alt shot

P.S. How about Lauren Coughlan going out in 26 on the LPGA and 59 very much on.

Helluva comeback from Conners and Taylor makes it a 3 point lead going into the singles.

Think the Internations might come up one short when all said and done but they've put up a great showing so far.

Keep the crowd quiet from the off tomorrow and you never know...

Ive never paid any attention to this tournament really but was absolutely hooked yesterday. The obnoxious Americans in the crowd playing the pantomime villians perfectly as per lol

The only chant they have is "USA, USA, USA" which gets repetitively more boring as the day goes on.

And "get in the water" or "get in the bunker" to the opposition is the height of their creativity.

The US deserve to lose every team comp until they get a proper golf crowd that have decent banter and know where to draw the line like the Euros.

Shame it's such a miss match in the P Cup singles when the average world ranking for the US side is 15 compared to 50 for the Internationals

Yeah I think this one is done now, shame. Surely Cam Young gets a major next year btw, such a clutch golfer.

USA turn it on for singles .

Shows how good they are as players but not team mates .

Facinating insights here from Eddie Pepperell. He's a great listen and so articulate. I can see him going into the commentary box or maybe even the administration side of golf.

Refreshing to hear such a straight talker.

Since starting to listen to the chipping forecast Pep has been my player to follow. Love his honesty and is not afraid to talk about difficult subjects, unlike most modern sportsman.

Got a sneaky feeling Eugenio Chacarra will be part of the European Ryder Cup team next year. The fact he was invited to the recent scouting trip to Adare Manor suggests he's in Luke Donalds thoughts.

He's 3rd on the race to Dubai with a couple of wins this season and is in better form than the likes of Hojgaard and Straka.

Love his Spanish passion and reckon he'd be a great addition. Watch this space....

Started playing golf properly this summer (dabbled a few years ago and a played a bit when I was 13, but nothing sustained). I played 18 yesterday for the only the 5th time ever (usually do 9). I played pretty well for 14 holes and then went to complete shit on the last 4 holes (similar to last few times I've played 18). Someone said to me "you should have used a trolley, it's proven to give you a 2-4 shots over 18". Then I've also had someone tell me that you should put without a glove, another person saying you always need to clean your clubheads and ball etc. TBH I naturally dismiss a lot of these things as I think there's a lot of pretentiousness/bollocks in golf, but which of these things actually matter and make a difference from people's experiences? What other stuff is worth taking into account?

Cleaning the clubface/grooves on your clubs is the one that makes any real difference. Dirt and mud can affect the contact and the amount of spin on the ball. Use a towel, or if you want to be thorough a little spray bottle with a brush attached on that you can get for a few quid off Amazon.

The rest of the above makes no difference other than personal preference. You only need a trolley is if you are getting tired and that is what's affecting your back 9 increase in scores.

Yeh would largely agree, although I never clean my grooves mid round, I just make sure I give them a good clean before I go out. Obviously if its wed/muddy then wipe them down after a shot with a towel.

Having a few things to snack on when going round helps with fatigue, or an energy bar/gel or something.

Genuinely think a few beers loosens you up as well haha.

Putting with/without a glove is really down to personal preference,  though the vast majority of pro's go without,  as do I .  Using an electric /push trolley may help stamina depending on your level of fitness,  though i my experience a pull trolley overs little benefit as you are consistently bending your spine in an unnatural position.  Keeping your clubs clear of dirt will help with well struck shots,  though will not actually help in doing that.

Yes one of the best is Eddie. Needs a decent tournament this week in India as he is in the final qualifying spot to retain his card for next season & he may not get in the Genesis the following week

That is not my understanding, I think he needs to finish in the top 110 (all but guaranteed now) to retain his place in Category 18.    A top 100 place will though give him Cat 10 next season,  in which case he would be able to pick and choose his events more than he has been able to this season.
