The People's Hero Posted 24 January 2013 Author Posted 24 January 2013 All this 'wouldn't of' is driving me mad.
Dan Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 If they do have Adkins lined up then fair play! To their credit, that would be a fantastic appointment, I thought he was going Blackpool though?
Babylon Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Apparently Nigel Adkins is expected to take over that is some coup for Huddersfield town. Why the feck would he want to go there or Blackpool. He could take his pick of any top champ job when they come up.
MikeyT Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Fearing a third BIG defeat at the hands of his former (and favourite club) SG has got himself sacked by simulating a sex act in an infant school (allegedly)
Finnegan Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 All this 'wouldn't of' is driving me mad. S'Lestoh innit.

I can't see any top championship club sacking their manager soon. Even all the relegated clubs have had a new manager this season so can't see any of them getting sacked. Huddersfield wouldn't be to much of a bad move but god knows why he would consider taking over at Blackpool.
James. Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Surely it'd be "wunt ov"? I know my Leicester, even though I got out as soon as I fúcking could.

A PL side could poach any manager in the Championship.

There will be sackings above Huddersfield then.
The People's Hero Posted 24 January 2013 Author Posted 24 January 2013 What is incredible is that it was me that broke this news. All hail TPH. Surely it'd be "wunt ov"? I know my Leicester, even though I got out as soon as I fúcking could. Wunt ov dunnit, eh, mduck?
Finnegan Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Surely it'd be "wunt ov"? I know my Leicester, even though I got out as soon as I fúcking could. They was tryna be more formal innit.

Most premier league clubs who sack their managers at this stage of the season do it because they are in a relegation battle. I'd be very surprised if a club who does that then appoints a championship manager. As long as nobody approaches big Nige I couldn't care anyway.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Like the guy but there's no denying he's thick as pigshit.
MrSpaM Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Feel a bit sorry for him, his players have put him in this position. Be interesting to see how they do at the weekend without him at the helm now. Does this also mean Beckfords loan is going to be cut short?
Ric Flair Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 I'll be having a flutter on them to beat us on saturday because a) I want us out the cup as our squad is small and I worry it'll impact on our league games and b) teams who sack their manager often win the first match
kingfox Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Holy shit. Adkins is 1/2 for the Huddersfield job, second favourite Gareth Southgate 16/1.
kingfox Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 All this 'wouldn't of' is driving me mad. It's the Leicester way of saying wouldn't have. We are not posh and don't all live in posh parts of Cheshire.
The People's Hero Posted 24 January 2013 Author Posted 24 January 2013 It's the Leicester way of saying wouldn't have. We are not posh and don't all live in posh parts of Cheshire. Phew, I'm glad I do. Oh sh it.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 No great surprise. They way they just folded after a decent 1st half against us last week would alarm any watching fan or director. The game went from a close typical championship match to one of the most one sided halves of football ever. They were like that in both halves against us (Home and Away) Dreadful
kingfox Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Keep sending Danns out on loan to clubs. Was at Bristol City, then their manager gets sacked, now at Huddersfield their manager gets sacked. Recall him, and loan him to Cardiff. Did you just rep me Mark for my banter.
foxes2011 Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 wounder what the futures of danns and beckford are now ....?? maybe they mite end up coming back if the new manager does not like them ....?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Poor decision i think. Still fancy them to turn their bad run around.
Leicesterpool Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Adkins would be a good move for Huddersfield. I can see him doing well there, also i'm hoping Mark Robins will go there was aswell because he's doing too good at Cov! I feel sorry for Grayson he's a good manager but at all the clubs he managed he seems to have problems with injures

No need to join Hudds
ADK Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Adkins would be daft to take on a job at a penniless championship club. Neither Blackpool or Huddersfield have a chance of getting promotion in the near future. Adkins is a man with a record of back to back promotions and a solid premiership performance on a sensible budget. He'd be a shoe-in for any top championship club, possibly a premiership club, of all the sacked managers he's surely the one with the most appeal. I don't think Huddersfield should have sacked Grayson, it's a case of a small club thinking they should be doing better than they are. They only got promoted due to having Jordan Rhodes and then they lost him and didn't reinvest any of the money they got for him. The result is a small squad of mostly average league 1 standard players. Of course they are struggling at this stage of the season as they don't have the quality in depth of other clubs, but i think against similar teams they would have taken enough points to stay up.
