I think our team selection takes the piss out of 4000 loyal supporters paying hard earned money personally Personally he had every right to expect far more from someone who was playing for a move or for a place in our 18... and two forwards who aside from goals had played well for the team in their appearances. Although I'd always start with the first choice and sub them early as you can if the game is safe

And of course, the longer you go on winning the more likely you'll lose the next game. Its always going to happen. Let it happen in a game that really is meaningless What? How do you work that out? The more you win the more confident you get if anything. The idea that cup runs damage league form is a myth. It's just an excuse used for when teams go out of form, or when managers get paranoid and worry about injuries. Unless you pick up significant injuries in said cup games it shouldn't make a difference. Players are professional athletes, they do not need days and days on end to recover from matches.
