If I was you Kingfox I'd phone the moan in next week and complain about the quality of threads on FT

Not ringing them when Alan Young is there, if they swapped him with Arnar Gunnlaugsson then maybe.

But just imagine the opportunity to share your banter with an even wider audience :crylaugh: comedy gold I'm sure!

I never listen to it.

I'm never ceased to be amazed by some of the crap that gets spouted by people feeling they have a knowledge of football.

I'm saying nothing.

Bloody funny, nothing is good enough for some, if we were as good as Barcelona people would still moan

Call it moaning. Or striving for better.

At the point knocky is as good as messi. Kasper is valdes and we have a puyol and pique at the back and we play barcas keep ball every week. Then i will stop striving.

lol Exactly. Well said. The thing about Wood had me laughing. They're worried we'd have no spark without Wood.. Well considering we were top and have consistently been top 6 this year i think we would be fine. And then saying King doesn't score enough and doesn't pass forward. Honestly don't know what to say.. I question whether these people actually do go to games.

And yeah the bloke saying he wouldn't go unless we are guaranteed to win.. What sort of moron is he.

To be fair, I can half agree with their point about Wood, we could do with another forward probably, but the example given was so laughable.

That Tony from Derby is the kind of fan I've got no time for. Absolute fairweather 'fan' and exactly the type who affects our atmosphere for the worst.

Almost as embarrassing as the supporters who booed the team off at 0-0 on Saturday.

Just beyond a joke. I was fvcking fuming.

That was it. Tony from Derby. Well Tony from Derby, if you're reading this i have it on good authority that the team that will play in the league for the rest of the season will be the same that started against Huddersfield, so you know what that means, don't bother turning up again you miserable cvnt.

Probably a poster on Bentleys Roof. Classic thread going on at the moment about an imaginary interview with Pearson and posters commenting on it as if it actually happened  Comedy central lol

I don't get the special hate for the RL Football Forum. Call-in radio programs all over the world, about any topic, always attract the lowest common denominator. Call-in shows about news, politics, gossip etc. are all equally as poor. And most football fans either talk about the game with their friends or on online forums anyway.

I remember being a student, working in the carling stand at filbo, in the big room there. This was in the hey day of oneil, and still at half time and full time, they moaned and whinged about the team.

Leicester fans in my experience do my head in, were always going to have more bad times than good. As same as most midland teams.

I thought it could have been one of the better ones if Stringer hadn't been so quick to try and be polemic.

I would also say reducing a debate down to 'you're not a true fan' and 'support the team' ignores the larger debate. One fellow somewhat inelegantly expressed the opinion that Woods' success is covering over many cracks. The scouting side have played a blinder with Woods but take him out of the side and there's a coastal shelf sized drop off in terms of talent to Waggy and Vardy. Likewise take out James and or Drinkwater and that midfield is poor.

Stringer missed a chance to debate whether the squad is good enough instead opting for the easy 'chief you're not a real fan" angle. He also missed the chance to debate WHY altering the side was good/bad.

We were top six before we signed Wood and when James was rarely playing. Don't try and make out that we'd be doing disastrously without them.

It's not striving for better though, I'm very much in agreement that we need to not allow our league form to cloud the wrongs at the club and constructive criticism should be more than welcomed, but some 'fans' are literally a liability to the club and I cannot see what good having people waiting for us to slip up (it's true) does.

You raise valid points, but the other reply to you sums it up nicely and the example given was just laughable. "Back to the old Leicester that didn't beat sides like Huddersfield", unless it was an illusion, did we not beat Huddersfield at their place VERY comfortably back in October?

Stringer played this card to that bloke who said he wouldn't go if he heard the team sheet in the morning, and although I'm not into this whole support at all costs bollocks, I couldn't agree more with him, that bloke was a complete fairweather and practically admitted it.

For what it's worth I think our forward line is only awful if we lose BOTH Wood & Nugent. Nugent/Vardy & Nugent/Waghorn have both brought a lot of wins for us.

Just one more point on this. I didn't listen to the moan in today but I knew exactly what the thread would be about when I read the title, I won't be the only one who knew and you should have known as well. You have a choice to immediately press the back button you know

I read most threads, if I like them or not.

Its true you listen hoping for some decent chat about the game or snippets of news, and then someone wastes half the show who doesn't have a clue. Mr Young does well not to lose it, but you know what he's thinking.

I'm fairly sure my post says nothing of the sort. It merely states there is a gulf in class between Nugent & Woods and Vardy & Waghorn.

I think the gentleman expressed the opinion that had he known that the side would be so weakened, fielding our 5th choice centre mid, along with our 7th best strike pairing combo, then he'd have rather not travelled two hours to see what he saw (rightly or wrongly) as an inevitable result. I'm not too bothered by the rights and wrongs of this opinion, it's the mans money and choice, I'm simply concerned that if we wish to maintain our wonderful recent form then we'll possibly need strengthening in centre mid and upfront.

And that without James or Drinkwater our midfield is 'poor', despite the fact that they rarely played together in the first half of the season when we were in the play-offs.
