General Smuts Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Some silly bastard has left me in charge of organising his stag do. He's a Manure fan so I've gone with a trip to Manchester and at the very least planned a trip round the Theatre of Dreams. Although I am tempted to drag him round the City of Manchester stadium instead to be harsh. However I don't know the area at all and haven't got a clue about the night life. I've done my due diligence and scoured the web for all the strip clubs but you can't get a sense of how filthy they'll be over the internet. Believe me, I've tried. Does anyone have any recommendations for pubs or clubs etc or any shenanigans/poor life decisions I can guilt the groom into?

Go early and you can have a beer in there watching Soccer AM/Saturday while you wait.

No idea to be honest, must be some way around it. It's actually ran a married couple as well, got to be seen to be believed when you go inside. Can honestly only compare the reception to like a posh dentist or something, if you are pissed you'll be removed as well. Very professional, beats turning up at a sidestreet in Birmingham trying to get in and out without being shot or robbed.
Dr The Singh Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Never been to a stag in Manchester, but a rule that I use is that for clubs etc, make sure you 'book a table' or on guest list. Ring around the strip/seedy stuff and see what they offer, in my experience a group of 'high spenders', get VIP, complimentary entry, even drinks!!

When I complained of my disjointed hips, sciatica, chronic knee injury and ligament damage, no physio treatment was offered whatsoever. First we went into a gay pub where everyone (including the women) looked like Wayne Rooney, and my friend was goosed. Later, in another carelessly chosen pub, what can only be described as a riot commenced within seconds of us buying our drinks. I've never seen so much broken glass, I can tell you. We then remembered that it was the weekend of the Manchester Derby. How silly of us! I'm sure I've told this story on here before. I've only got about three, it's inevitable
