Tempwan Yierban Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Wood offered a legitimate out ball all night as did schlupp and dyer when on. Kane does not offer that. Nugent or no one should have been replaced. Or knockaert should have come on. Huge tenacity and great engine.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 The time has come surely for us to look forward. The crowd IMO were great, really backed the team and its now 1 win in 14. The buck stops where exactly?

I do agree with you, but do you really think this lost us the game, or just a moment of madness?
inckley fox Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Overall form over the last 2 games has been good. Just unlucky tonight. Nugent's rush of blood has cost us tonight not Pearsons tactics. Sorry, but how is a player making a thirty yard surging run at his own goal, in injury time, then scything down a player on the edge of a box an example of bad luck? One might argue it's shocking refereeing, but then some Birmingham fans are pointing out that there was a foul before our second goal, and that was pretty shocking refereeing too. Managers take responsibility for results because they assemble sides, pick them and arrange the tactics. It doesn't mean Pearson should go, but it does mean he has to take some blame for us not capitalising on the chance we had to take three points. And that goes for twelve out of the last thirteen games too. It's not as if this is a one-off now, is it?
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 I'm sure Nige is dying his hair Dunno why your acting so cock sure your two last minute goals away from going missing for another 3 weeks minimum.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Just to change topic a bit.... How was Davies MOM?! Because own goal aside he played very well. If Brum are still up shit creak at the start of next season I would love us to sign him permanently. Him and big Wes together would be awesome. He also offers a serious goal threat at set pieces. Keane will be back to Man Utd at the end of the season.
Kitchandro Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Perhaps the suggestion is that he should have taken Nugent, already our worst performer on the night, off instead of Wood, who had been very good. But Kane has been fvcking shit for us too? Is it not possible he could have made a similar error? Why not take off Schlupp who is less suited to holding it up than Nugent? He could have done numerous things but not taking Nugent off is not as disastrous as it turned out on face value. It's not a massive cock up on Nigel's part, it's a massive cock up on Nugent's part. How do you expect Pearson to see Nugent would do something like that? He can't, it's ridiculous to suggest he could. Sometimes, sometimes - individual players are just completely to blame for certain incidents.
Callabinho Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 We didn't play well at all. Every players first touch was poor, Nugent twice made a stupid mistake one costing us dearly, Wood's hold up play was hit and miss and his overall performance he was pretty ineffective, our midfield completely clueless in coming forwards. I thought Birmingham were much better in possession, they didn't really threaten much but looked dangerous when they did breach the back four, Davies was superb! Lead the team brilliantly! We just looked terrible, sloppy passing, indecisive players, stupid errors and just a general lack if anything. How anyone can say we played well is beyond me, a draw was a fair result.
theessexfox Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 If I Agree to that do we get to discuss the points per game for the last 14 games or so? It's the elephant in the room. Let's just talk about it. Yes, as I completely disagree with people saying that goal was 'inevitable', as were it not for a mistake that NOBODY could foresee, I am confident that we'd all be very happy now.
Aus Fox Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 wake up shit for brains its a forum where everybody is entitled to an opinion not your happy little where everybody's happy & optimistic & says everything you want to hear..ffs Ok we will all be sad miserable old cnuts linke you then. The world is coming to an end. Thanks for pointing it our. You're so smart

I am not pro or anti NP but ffs think before you type.

brockmyster Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 im really not sure what some people want, we were the better team, created lots of clear cut chances, the tactics looked spot on to me and kasper was rarely needed. I have images of the pearson out brigade celebrating as wildly as the brum fans after the pen tonight.. like it or not our performances have picked up again, and if we continue to play like we have in the last 2 we have an outside chance of making the playoffs if other results go our way I personally think we were all over the shop today. Finally think people have started to twig to how over rated drinkwater is and how shit kane is, shame ive been saying that from the beginning
Aus Fox Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Or not..... Given the FACT that we are the worst team in the league for last min conceding. Is this actually a fact?

Bert Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Has the ref took his Birmingham top off yet? Poor mistake from Nuge but let's not make him a scapegoat for how the season is panning out. Frustrating indeed, but tonight won't be solely what ends up more than likely costing us playoffs.

He can't, it's ridiculous to suggest he could. Sometimes, sometimes - individual players are just completely to blame for certain incidents. All eleven of them are 'individual players' and 99% of goals come from errors, to some degree, of players. Managers are judged on the performances of their players. When a moment of brilliance wins a game they take the credit, when an error costs them they must take their share of the blame. These, for me, are the basics of football management.
RowlattsFox Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 The positives, I will be financially better off if we don't get the playoffs. Why does it have to be last minute? Gutted.
Buzzell Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 So tell me this. If NP was faultless. Why take off Wood, often the target of our out ball and holding it up well, for Kane who was completely disinterested and didn't compete for a single ball? Conveniently ignoring that? So what your saying is that Pearson is the person that cost us a win? Kane bearly had enough time to do anything on the field. If it wasn't for Nugent we would of wrapped this game up and be going home with all points.
seenitall Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Dunno why your acting so cock sure your two last minute goals away from going missing for another 3 weeks minimum. And you're only 14 games away from being right sbout how great Nige is
Guest ttfn Posted 12 April 2013 Posted 12 April 2013 Just stepping back from tonight for a moment. Is there a team in worse form than us in the country from the start of March?
