MikeyT Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Schmeichel; De Laet, Morgan ©, Keane, Konchesky; Knockaert, James, King, Dyer; Wood, Schlupp Subs: Drinkwater, Whitbread, Vardy, Logan, Gallagher, Nugent, Kane.
foxesfan1989 Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 I would have played that EXACT team, just said it 10 mins ago. Just about motivation now, come on boys.
kingfox Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 The guy has sense. Well done Pearson on dropping Drinkwater and Nugent good decisions. Good team, I also thought he would play Wood and Schlupp together.
cc_star Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 442 then with Knocky & Dyer restored to the starting lineup with Drinky & Nuge making way. Now, it's all about playing high, putting pressure on the ball when we don't have it. Going to be very hard to beat 2013's best team so far.
Chazwaz Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 I'm liking this choice a lot, hopefully brings us back to winning ways.
Fox92 Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 No Marshall? Better option than Gallagher and Dyer for me. Hope its 442 though, with width.
ScouseFox Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Could it not be 4-3-3 with Wood on one wing, Dyer the other and Knocky doing whatever he wants in the middle? Or is it just me who saw that and thought that? Edit - or even Schlupp and Dyer either side of Wood, Knocky in behind?
RowlattsFox Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Could potentially be wood, schlupp and dyer as front 3 with knockaert in a central role.
Fox42 Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Knockaert in the midfield for a 4-3-3 seems rather limited for him. Full on attacking side and good to see Wood back in the central role. Bags of pace on the wings is good to see. Pleased with this lineup. Lets hope it pays off!!
darko2k7 Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 So the Knocky twitter scandal must have been sorted/nothing, think the Wood, Schlupp partnership could work well . COYB
Fox92 Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 If it is 451/433 then I hope Wood is up front and not out wide. With that, Knockaert playing behind. Close to Wood. But I hope it's 442.
Tom17LCFC Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 442 then. Like the look of that team, come on Leicester!!!! EDIT: If it is 433 I'd be delighted, Knockaert thrives in a central role.
cc_star Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Whilst the reaction is positive on here, the problem with 442 is a midfield duo being overran
Fox92 Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Whilst the reaction is positive on here, the problem with 442 is a midfield duo being overran Agreed. Already thought that, especially King.
Stevosevic Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Pearson said he would be assessing the players mental strength for this game.
Lambert09 Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Don't agree with dropping nugent, that is why the players have no confidence. Poor man management.
NewquayFox Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Hope this Schlupp & Wood partnership works as it could be the pairing for next season, Nugent has certainly gone stale and should be feeling pretty low after his events on Friday. ;0( Come on City.... ;0)
Bugg Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Don't agree with dropping nugent, that is why the players have no confidence. Poor man management. Nugent should have been dropped weeks ago, I don't see the problem with this.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Disappointed to see nugent dropped but probably the right decision. I'm sure he'll come on later on and be raring to go!
Tom17LCFC Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Don't agree with dropping nugent, that is why the players have no confidence. Poor man management.
cc_star Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Don't agree with dropping nugent, that is why the players have no confidence. Poor man management. We haven't got 40 games to coax someone through a poor spell, we've got 4 games and we need 3 wins & a draw - there is no room for a single defeat to a direct rival. Pearson said he was assessing player's mental reaction to the late equaliser, so with the changes made you'd have to read into that side of things.
marbelladave Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Whilst the reaction is positive on here, the problem with 442 is a midfield duo being overran Only if we try and contain...... Be positive and get after them and we can win this, but we won't, we will try and contain and get beat. HELP.......... Need a stream I can listen to on an iPad.
