Anyone fancy living on Mars for the rest of their lives?

Who in their right mind would want to live the rest of their life there? Especially if they want relatively young and phsycologically sound people.

I misread that as 'Anyone fancy living on Mars Bars for the rest of their lives?', to which I thought, I'd give it a go.

Anything for science

You'll be able to work, rest and play. Seems like that's all the bases covered.

They are expecting millions of applicants apparently. For a one way trip? Madness.

It's the fame aspect. If it's successful (or even if it's not, provided it gets off the ground) those involved will be remembered for a very long time.

I'd rather just watch Total Recall than actually "get my ass to Mars". Would undoubtedly be the most exciting thing possible for a short while, then you're pretty much guaranteed death, or a very alienated and unfulfilling existence.

It could well be a hoax, but there's nothing to say it's not a completely implausible idea. We've landed people on the moon, sent rovers to Mars, had the ISS inhabited for years. It's just that it'd require a hell of a lot of financial backing, for an indeterminate length of time. And if the project was to dry up after the first people had been shipped out, are the people behind the project then accountable for murder? And would people still want to join every 2 years after the first settlers send back messages 6 months in complaining of the radiation, rations, infighting, nobody willing to do the cleaning, equipment failure, sleep deprivation, injuries...

Basically, it's possible, but very unlikely this will happen anytime soon.

If it gets us away from kingfox's 'banter' then I'm game.

I heard a rumour that Cardiff's owner is thinking about relocating the club. Maybe just maybe?

There'd be no atmosphere in the ground.

I'm sure someone can take over my reigns.

They won't be as good as me of course, but would be worth the try.

I don't think you understand the gravity of the situation.

I don't understand, as Mars has both an atmosphere and gravity (as do all objects)? You kids today and your crazy 'banter'.
